Life at AIIMS Raipur as a nursing student

It includes several clinical departments of medicine and also gives insight of nursing. Teaching method is projector only. Teachers conducts several internal assessments and exams for our assessment. The internal marks are evaluated at the end of the year and students are ranked according to performance through out the year.

After getting into final year we have theory classes along with clinical posting to the hospital for 6 months. After completion of this we have internship in which we are getting stipend around 13,500/- for six months

The fee structure of our college is for complete 4 years which is 3160/-. It doesn't includes mess charges and other charges asked by the college. There is no differentiating fee charges for the individual category, it follows same in all the categories. There are several scholarship available for different categories which includes- PMSS PM YASHASVI FOR SC category Reliance and other private scholarships.

Students comes from different states following different cultures. We celebrate several festivals all together with other courses students in our campus itself. Campus is beautiful and calming at night we go for walks and quite safe in terms of security.

For 1st year students we are provided a single room attached with a washroom. After getting into 2nd year we are supposed to shift to another hostel in which we have to share the washroom with other students too. Menu changes according to our wishes and reviews but the quality ain't good all the time.

I applied in Delhi University for Bachelors in zoology and cleared the exam too but due to placements race i dropped this course and applied for this course. Firstly we have to register ourselves and fill the application form on the AIIMS official website after which AIIMS itself conducts a separate entrance exam for pursuing nursing which AIIMS B.SC NURSING ENTRANCE EXAM. The syllabus is similar to neet and after clearing this exam we have to undergo for counseling process.

There are nursing tutors, lecturers, professors from different places and from top medical colleges. The course duration is 4 years. And the fourth year also includes internship which also give allowances to students. Yearly we have to sit in exams for 4 times which includes- Term 1, Term 2, Pre professionals and the professionals.

Our college have a gym which can be availed by both girls and boys. Cafeteria is also there which have several eatable items. A vast central library consisting several books of different courses. We have different hostel for nursing, mbbs, residents and interns.
