Course Curriculum Overview

5

Better and adequate teachings, better chances of placements, many free and unique proper courses, lab classes, internship courses, the whole course of B. Tech in this university is perfectly a good choice to go for.

Internships Opportunities

4

This university has quite good placement rates, and as for B. Tech, it just started and many companies like Software Technology Parks Of India and many more have already offered for intership facilities within among the students of Technology.

Placement Experience

5

Students in B. Tech are eligible to take internships from the 2nd yr, aka 3rd semester. As a first year myself and the first batch of B. Tech in this college, it is quite promising to know all these facilities are being given from the 3rd semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees: 28000 Tution fees (yearly): 250000 (Semester fees: 125000) All fees included lime lab fees, tution fees, development fees. No scholarships taken General caste. Same fees for every other classmate (no special benifits of caste, scholarships, etc.)

Campus Life

5

Many festivals are held time to time in this university with lot of prizes to grab on for. An individual can grab many opportunities and make a name for themselves and win prizes alongside showing their talent and all. There are group, club, individual and many other types of events going on frequently.

Admission

I did applied for one college in Kolkata, UEM Kolkata, but due to excessive time taken by me to apply, I couldn't get a hold of any seat in that college, as it is a private college, seats are quite limited.

Faculty

5

The faculty-to-student ratio is just perfect and accurate. The faculty to student relationship is very proper and teachers are very frank and approachable without any issues and easy to communicate. It's the first semester of the batch and only a month has passed by so don't have the knowledge of their proper names but every teacher yet so far is very good and easy to understand.

Interview Experience

3

I did face the group discussion of Technical Communication where the skills of discussion amongst groups have been taught and sharpened. Recently there was this Internals which was of 1hr for each exam and the questions were very decent and good enough to understand and answer.

Night Life

5

There are night festivals like Bonfire fests where students come together and enjoy the night singing, dancig alongside each other, sports like volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc that students play every day and all. Gym is open two times a day, with different timings for gents and ladies. Hostel timing is quite good. There are many hangout spots within the campus like cafés, sports fields, parks and the beautiful rock pond area. It is perfectly safe to roam in the campus at night.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
