My college life

I think the course is pretty relevant but I wish that certain changes are made so that we could learn deeply about analysis and processes more, the growth in it sector and opportunities influenced me to choose this course. The curriculum doesn't really prepare you for real world applications as it's all basics that's in the syllabus so we have to learn in depth in order to be prepared. 5 credit papers are given 3 hours of time in exam and 2 credit are given 2hours and 1.5 hrs.

Voice 4girls is ngo that frequently hires students for internships, and there are many startup that come for hiring internes, especially in marketing and advertising industry. And there are also companies that hire for finance related posts aswell

We have placements and some good companies come in to hire freshers. From 3rd semester students get eligible for internships and in 5th sem you're eligible for placements if you have no backlog and attendance percentage of 75%. Companies such as Deloitte, PWC, Amazon and many companies have visited our campus for placements. Highest package was 7.5 lac which was for marketing. My plans after degree are to work for a year in a good firm and then go for MBA.

So the actual fee structure for BCOM BA that am paying is 1st year 40000 2nd year 50000 and 3rd year 60000 and additional charges of 5000 for maintenance n event charges and 5000 for mandatory certification course charges, so we'll be paying 10000 extra for these charges other than tuition fee, and the tuition fee increases 10000 every year and also there's a registration charge of 6000 while joining the college. The fee structure I have explained here is mine and Avinash college provides merit based scholarship through which students tuition fee will be given discount. (Note: the fee structure I have explained is of batches 2023-2026 the fee structure may have been revised for new batch i.e 2024 onwards)

Overall experience is not bad, we have many events and clubs where we could make many social connections and we have some grand events every year such as freshers party, Fairwell party, Sports event, Traditional day for almost every big festivals. We have a library which accessible to every student. We have digital classrooms and a highly equipped lab with all the softwares and tools, we have many clubs such as IT club, Commerce club, Chaucer's literary club etc.. which help students alot in engagement and gaining some important skills

I did think of joining gitam Hyderabad but I choose Avinash college for its affordablity and the infrastructure it provides, also placements. The admission process is simple if you are having eligible marks in 12th i.e. 70% then you just go and apply upon which you'll be counseled by a counselor who will help you choose the right course and that's it you pay the registration fee and you're in.

The faculty are very friendly and approachable they are highly qualified professionals, Sri Sruthi mam is someone I really like, she's really friendly and approachable she mingles with students like we are her own kids and her way of teaching is soo easy to understand. We'll have 6 semisters through out the course and 2internals every sem within the college. Exams are pretty easy if you listen to the lectures properly, yet almost 30-40% students fail cuz of irresponsible behaviour

Our college is located in the centre of city, soo it's all traffic and sounds, but yeah we have many good cafeterias and restaurants around our campus. But students most favourite are KFC and Dominos where most of them hang out. And it's totally a safe area
