Course Curriculum Overview

1

No one tells you the dark side of the course or even if they do little do we understand..this course is never as expected..it requires a lot of patience, and strength to hold on yourself when the whole campus is against you and you have to work as a one man army. it's just powerpoint presentation and reading it aloud in class and it's done...it we who have to work. There are 2-3 internal exam but none of these marks are considered for the last University exam...it's all what we score for the final exam..there's another model exam then lots of small tests

Internships Opportunities

1

Interns and PGs are not given any stipend here..they have to work all day but they are not given anything in return... interns and pgs don't even get a proper graduation after all these hardwork.they do go out in to public and treat patience

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is 3,50000 Special fees- 65000 Other fees 20000 Hostel fees 65000+50000 for message When it comes to OBC students thers special fees and message fees plus you have to pay for textbooks record and also dental materials even after paying so much...this is the least amount they take And exam fees is around 2000 and if are rewriting the exams you will have to pay 10k-35000k There is scholarship for OBC and SC/ST students but it doesn't count...we have to pay a lot of extra money thought the academic year

Campus Life

1

We just have a sports and arts fest inaugration and rest is history.... Not much programmes are conducted after the inaugration..the college itself tries to put it down since it's conducted by students as t college doesn't support any of it..then we have onam celebration conducted on September. There are enough books in the library...like different books for the subjects we want to refer Classes are usually conducted in a PowerPoint presentation..and teachers rad it out Compared to other colleges we barely have any extracurricular activities There is some club but it's useless

Hostel Facilities

2

Room is small but decent enough..hostel is safe Mess food is really bad Mess fees is around 65000-70000 and all categories have to pay regardless of the reservation while hostel fees is free for reservation students The locality is not good at all..it's not safe to rent a room or be a PG in this place...hostel is safe compared to that but we can bearly go home in 1st yr...we won't be allowed visit home and they tend to create a lot of problem when it comes to going home..parents have to call the warden to let the student out..no out pass in first yr..curfew is 6pm. Warden is strict and takes away phone if the managements ask them to. It's really hard for girls to stay in hostel...boys are free to go out

Admission

I did get admission in three other colleges but I had already written neet and the results were not out..it's was 2yrs of hardwork and i couldnt just not see it..so I was forced to wait for t results while t joining dates had already passed in other colleges....all other colleges i joined had good reviews, faculties, extracurricular activities ,academics etc

Faculty

2

Some teachers are approachable while a big ratio is not. All exams are ok...when it comes to university exam,if we lose a single mark we have to rewrite the exam again by giving a huge amount for a single paper.if we lose all three the amount becomes triple...to be honest kuhs is really tough..i wouldn't recvoment pursuing dental course in kerala

Interview Experience

1

We are given a set of forms to fill and sign. The admission fees has to be payed in the finance.along with special fees and other fees. Admission process is usually done through neet counselling and we are alloted a seat according to our rank in keam.after this we have to approach the college directly for admission if we are intersted and have got the college of choice

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum helps to create a graduate in Dental Science who has adequate knowledge, necessary skills and such attitudes which are required for carrying out all the activities appropriate to general dental practice involving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of anomalies and diseases of the teeth, mouth, jaws and associated tissues. The area that needs improvement is the use of advanced materials in the field which are not taught by the curriculum but self taught.

I really am impressed by medical field forever I wanted to help people for a long time. This BDS course allows us the diagnosis of almost every other disease as most manifestations are found in oral cavity. The relief of patients when their tooth ache is spared, The relief when someone is saved or prevented from aggregation of oral cancer/ squamous cell carcinoma And how dentistry has lots of chances for mastery after the UG degree and being medical professional degree how income is quite dependent on the practitioner it self
