Course Curriculum Overview

4

I always wanted to be a lawyer and this inspired me to choose this course. The interesting subject to study in law such as torts, legal methods, sociology, philosophy Motivated me to more to study this subject. To improve it I suggest that it should be in more easy language so as to understand it more.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities start from the end of 1 st year were we get opportunities to work with NGO's and law firms. These internships help us to gain experience and skills. A whole month is provided for the internships.

Placement Experience

3

As a 1st year student,I guess In the 7th sem students become eligible for the campus placements. Google,Microsoft, wipro, mcanzee etc have visited our camous. Highest package went around 20 lakhs and lowest was around 4 lakhs. Almost 60% get placed, also it depends on the course they choose. My plan and aim for being an corporate lawyer.

Fees and Financial Aid

1. Will be paying 150000 yearly for 5 years. 2. Total tution fee is around 750000 3. My batchmates from STME pay 210000 yearly. 4. Didn't get any scholarships. But many of my batch mate from SOC (School of commerce) have got there scholarships.

Campus Life

4

A student gets a cultural feast in NMIMS a number of annual and technical festivals like dholida, namotsav etc The library is specious along with many great books to read and a e-library. The classrooms are specious with a Smartboard and a whiteboard. Also our college hosts some sport's event.

Admission

So I appeared for the cuet exam as well as the nlat exam for Law course. I applied for Devi ahilya vishva vidhyalay but I compared it with nmims, i found Nmims more exciting and full of opportunities. So I got selected through NLAT exam which is concducted by NMIMS. The cutoffs go to 90. I didn't get rejected from any college.

Faculty

4

The faculty is helpful and friendly along with practical teaching skills and motivated. The faculties I like are Mr priyansh sharan, Dr Rayees bhat, Rajneesh dubey sir, really kind and helping. Honestly I don't like Ms Ayushi kumari mam, as she does not kind of intract with students and just keeps explaining. Basically we have two exams in a particular semester ie midterm and endterm, midterm consist of 20 marks whereas end term consist of 50 marks. Exam level is moderate almost all students pass.

From 9/10 semesters the students become eligible for placements. Students are given some attendance relief for like 4/6 months to do their internships in best places around India. Companies like IBM, INFOSYS, AMAZON , Tech mahindra are some which offers placement with average 4 lpa, highest being 25lpa. 60% is the placement rate in ba llb. My plan after getting the degree is trying for judiciary and preparing for llm and phd.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specifically the aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision was the legal knowledge and the awareness of one's legal rights. The curriculum prepares us for the journey of being a lawyer or an legal practitioner in a way that one can do very well in any field they choose. If i were to suggest the areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods that would be to hire better qualified teachers and compulsive 75% attendance for the students. The exams are held every six months along with mid semester exams in between and the difficulty level is not much if you are serious about your studies.

Excellent, in every aspect teaching, curriculum and co-curriculum. I chose this course as I want to become a judge. Student: teacher is 25:1 Our teachers are highly qualified and have professional degrees with experience. NET JRF qualified, every teacher is a PhD holder and some advocates as well. They teach very well through bare acts, concept clarity, doubt clearing, provide notes, manupatra excess, tutorials and great mentors.
