Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have always had an interest for coding so computer secience engineering seemed to be the best course to develop my skills and build a career. It has everything from real world to virtual world development. We can still improve the course by introducing more practical learning, as it makes us ready for thr real world. Also about the exams , while they are important they shouldn't become a burden on the students.

Internships Opportunities

2

Several companies offer internships both paid and unpaid starting from 3rd year. New companies are also invited. But it is very difficult to bag internships as college imposes several rules to sit for internships for it's own financial benefits.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Several companies like oracle , microsoft , wipro , tata, toyota and some other japanese companies are some regular compaines that visit the college. The college guarantees 100% placements which is somewhat true , as it doesn't include students who don't sit for placements .I want to go abroad for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

Year wise fees for BTECH CSE (tuition fees + hostel fees) - 180000+146000 Registration fees - 5000 Admission fees - 10000 CRT(Campus recruitment training ) - 50000 to be paid in 3rd year. No reservation for any caste categories. 20 % discount for girl students. Several scholarship programs for students representing state or national level sports.

Campus Life

2.5

There are two major annual fest Samyak, Surabhi with samyak being held in october and surabhi in february. The fest are though big they are not so impressive as it it full of restrictions. The library has an impressive infrastucture which includes book and journals for almost every branch and courses. The facluties are highly qualified and classrooms are equipped with smart classes but the rooms are old and not so modern. The college is super supportive when it comes to sports offering special scholarships and opportunities. There are several student-run social groups , but the college doesn't excel in the social aspect as it does not promote male and female interaction and infact imposes several illogical restrictions on both.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

While the college infra lies between average to good, the hostel facilities are excellent with world class facilities but is equallly expensive. Meaal quality is good serving both north and south indian meals with different counters for vegetairian hostlers. Registration for rooms in hostel is done online but it is a complex and slow process.

Admission

I applied to several other colleges like srm , lovely professional , indrprastha and even receiving a confirmed admission from chitkara university. But at the last I ended up choosing Klu as it seemed more promising and it also had a better overall image in engineering colleges. I didn't get rejection from any university but Indrapastha university said to wait for the last round. You can get admission in KLU through your 12th marks or through jee or even through the klu entrance exam.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty student ratio is colse to about 1 teacher for every 60 students. They teaching faculties are highly professional and they priortise students welfare over anything. They are super passionate abouth their job and carry out there responsibilities very sincerely.

Other Applied Colleges

Lovely Professional University - [LPU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Seniors studying there did not give a good review and suggested to take some other college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specified aspects of curriculum that influenced my decision for choosing electrical and electronics engineering is core type branch and there is a future in this course. The curriculum is very useful for preparation to Activities such as ciruit debugging and smartindia hackothan this improves knowledge. Adding some present invovative aspects to curriculum helps the course like industrial training programs etc. Developing a good environment from teachers creates lot of things this is the one way of best methods. The frequency and timing of exams with our perspective is some difficulty issue.
