The insight at EThames degree college

The ACCA course offered by the college to enter the world of CA, inspired me to take up the BCOM course at EThames along with the most experienced faculty ! The curriculum, though it is vast and lengthy, will prove effective in the long run, and helps in competing in the real world and standing up to the corporate world. The timing of the exams are convenient, by having 2 internal exams before the final exam. Ample time is given for preparation.

Mostly, companies and major successfull start-ups offer students with good stipend internships. The seniors at the companies offer help and guide interns to ensure a smooth workflow and maintain peace and harmony among the conpany's colleagues.

From the 3rd year or the 5th semester onwards, the college students become eligible for placements and internships offered by the college's training and placement division. Some of the companies that were involved and have visited EThames are Deloitte, Microsoft, Infosys, Wells and Fargo, Tech Mahindra, Schneider electric and many more. A package of 8,50,000 LPA was offered to a student by Deloitte as Operations Manager and stands as the best opportunity ever recieved to a student, and many others can achieve this feat. Almost everyone gets placements, provided if everyone follows the terms, rules and regulations offered by the training and placement division of the college. After getting my degree, im planning to secure a well-paying job through the college and hope to study for higher studies in the future.

I pay 160000 per year which is split as 80000 per semester. Each year consists of 2 semesters and in total the course consists of 6 semesters, which is 3 years. There are many specialization courses that are offered to students based on their knoweldge level and their previous 10+2 academic history. Some other students pay 10000 less as they dont opt for specialization courses that are offered during admission and enquiry. Scholarships are offered to students who secure above 95 percent or 9.5 cgpa in their final semester examinations.

Many events are being organised from all sports, cultural events and extracurricular activities to engage the students and bonding between the juniors and aeniors in joyous harmony. A computer lab, IT library and a cafeteria is available in the college to be used by all the students. Many extracurricular clubs are organized in different aspects, which cover photography, social awareness and sports. This impacts students in a positive manner and halps them stay active during the college hours.

I intially enquired to apply for GITAM university in Hyderabad, but has to back out due to some distance issue, but mostly it was due to the tution fees and my late timing, and by that time the enrollment process was closed and completed there. First, you go through counselling generally by the best college counselors, they help you in selecting the best courses based on your academic capability and your past scores. Then you pay a caution fee of Rs. 25000 for blocking the seat at the college. Then a registeration ceremony is held, to get to know the faculty, sign the terms and conditions of the college and pay the first term fees .

Faculty to student ratio is in such a proper way where both professionalism and politeness is maintained. Please excuse, as i cannot mention any personal details of my faculties. Theere are 1 final exam at the end of each semester, which is 2 final exams for one whole year. The exams are relatively easy, but require extensive hours of preparation as the entire book is the syllabus for the exam. The course curriculum offered by OU is relevant to other course curriculums as well.
