Course Curriculum Overview
I have picked this course asit suits meas i am a critical thinker who can react well under pressure and to make my family proud with my profession. We have to deal with many situations which cannot be handled with people with no medical background and have to focus on maintaining patience with working with accident and fatal situations that come our way. When going for postings in clinical environments like hospitals etc we get to experiene minute details about the hospitals from bed making to helping to birth a baby every minute actions helps us to become more resilient. At every end of year we have exam and before appearing we might get study leave and the exams are very hard to pass because thethe answers requires creativity and presentations etc
Fees and Financial Aid
As a GNM student i pay 60000 every year at the end of tear before appearing for the rghus exams and at the starting of the wewere requested to pay 5000? extra which was compulsory for uniform which consists of lab coat ×1, shirts ×2 and two pair of pants. We have to pay 700rs evry year for student nursing council which is an organisation of our college which is also compulsory and extra money consistent of any functions or programs in the college. There are many scholarships which you can applyduring the course like karnataka board govt.scholarships for locals and central scholarships and any state scholarships according to the place you recide from .
Campus Life
There is a good chance to mingle with the peers in this college as you can find diversity and culture that dont dominate in the college and everyone literally just accepts and embraces your culture in thi college. So far my campus life has been good with no such problems. As for the events there are many programmes that keeps coming our way and there is an event that happens once in a year which is called the element 7 which is a big music and cultural festive with concerts and such during the month of april or first 3 months of year . The library consist of a average sizes room with only books regarding our course well illuminated etc There is a student nursing association club which is in charge of all the programmes that is held in college
Admission
I picked this college as it is far from my homeland sikkim and i can become more self i dependent and see how the world works outside my hometown. I have been recommended this college by my seniors with whom i keep in touch as we are from same locality. This is a post matrix course and can be pursued by any board of students nd requires good grades and percentages to get through.
Faculty
There are 30 faculties i total where 2-3 teachers help us in studies for a single subject as it is veryv vast the teachers are very approachable and they also prefer having good relationships with student having perfe t marks and rank wise. More than the teachers the principal of the college is very sweet and she is very humble and approachable regarding problems with teachers and other problems with management if you have. There are 3 sessional exams in a year and at the end of the year there is one main exam called the rghus where we have to score well while other exams help us to increase our IA. The exam is hard to pass unless you are through with the subject and almost 50 % of our students still cannot clear any exam in one shot and require reexamination
