- I think there are less culture activities will be done and that too so boring.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is moderately relevant and comprehensive. I chose this course because it mostly deals with the basic aspects of any specific subject or field, aligned to my career objectives. The curriculum does provide some good theoretical basis but lacks much more connection with reality. Industry-specific updates are also not addressed within the curriculum. Better coverage of modernization of content and practical hands-on projects should be there. The teaching methods can be made more experiential and interactive. The exams are medium-level and occur twice in a semester. Generally, very few subjects involved have outdated content while others may seem too pressing when the schedules are tight.
Placement Experience
Students of my college are considered to be placed on campus from the 6th semester. Among these, some of the major companies that frequent this campus include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture; they make multiple offers to the students. The highest package offered was ?12 LPA, and on average, it was ?4-5 LPA, with most positions in software development, data analysis, and IT services. About 70-80% of students get a placement based on their skills and academic performance. After graduation, I intend to choose further specialization in the same field or apply for a job in any one of the prestigious tech companies to gain experience in that field.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure for our college varies based on the mode of admission. For students admitted through EAMCET, the yearly tuition fee is ?70,000, while students who qualify for the Jagananna Vidya Deevena (JVD) scheme have their tuition fee fully waived, bringing the cost to ?0. Additional charges, such as a building maintenance fee and uniform fee, are compulsory for all students, though the exact amounts may vary. For students opting for hostel accommodation, the yearly hostel fee is ?1,20,000, covering lodging, meals, and maintenance. For students admitted under the management quota, the annual tuition fee is ?2,50,000, significantly higher than the EAMCET fee. Scholarships such as merit-cum-need and government schemes like JVD provide financial aid for eligible students, greatly reducing the financial burden of the program.
Campus Life
Campus life is happening with events like TechFest in March and Cultural Carnival in October every year. The library has books and journals, and classrooms have good equipment with the latest technology. Sports and extracurricular activities are diverse. The presence of student-run clubs and social groups makes things get really interactive and cultural.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel will be good. We have 4-6 sharing rooms with attached and non- attached washrooms. We have purified drinking water and hot water for other uses. Clothes will be wadhed once a week by dhibi and return to us. We get wifi 24/7. While food is also good but not excellent.
Admission
I had applied to other college s too, but chose this one since the faculty of this college was sound and the placement services were also good. I did get confirmed admissions from a few, but this college had more industry ties and modern infrastructure, I am sorry to say that I had to keep myself deprived of IIT because of a lower entrance exam score. The admission process to my college is pretty smooth. It accepts EAMCET, JEE, and management quota. EAMCET was the most preferred one of these with a cutoff around 90. Counseling and document verification comprised the whole process. On the whole, the process has been very smooth on time and clear in following a procedural guideline.
Faculty
There is an excellent faculty-to-student ratio at college, and hence proper care. The faculty, on the whole, is approachable and very good with students. Teacher of the course really came out as a shining star, because of her excellent teaching style and deep knowledge of the subject matter. The course structure is moderately rigorous; in each semester, there are two major exams. Most students can handle the examinations quite well except for the outdated sections of the curriculum in which some students get quite weak. Around 10-15% don't clear specific exams. The course is relevant in parts but some areas, though quite a few, need modernization to suit industry demands better.
