- Average attendance for every clg is 75 percent but they asks for 80 percentage of attendance
- Do not give any free periods or library period for relaxation
- Certain areas get filled with water when it rains
Course Curriculum Overview
The basic thing i chose this course is firstly it helps to the mankind and also it has a scope in todays world and future too. The university provides us with the practicals along with the theory which tells about how to manufacture the dosages their composition reaction in the body advantages disadvantages and what not. But the labs of pharmacy department has kind of uncomfortable stools which i think should be changed . If one ain't comfortable during experiment he/she may face problems while doing it so yea..!
Internships Opportunities
Being a fresher student do not know about the in campus internship program but ya various companies has a tie up with the university such as lal path labs tynor sun pharma etc which provides internships and also placements after the degree.
Placement Experience
As i heard about the placements i gtk that they provide one of the best placements in the town and also have collaborated with best companies of the world such as abott sun pharma lal path labs etc. also various companies visited us during our orientation . One can also go for higher studies like M pharmacy if he wants to . But with the bachelors too 80% of the students gets placements while the 3.5 years of studying
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my course that is B pharmacy in Chitkara university is 90000 per semester and the course contains 8 semesters. Also i have chosen the transportation facility of the uni itself for easier method so i paid 40000 per year for that too and for the next year it will be 43000. Our university has uniforms so also paid 11000 for it which contains 10 tshirts of red and black color and 3 hoodies and 2 white lab coats. The university doesnt provide any kind of scholarships unfortunately but accepts sports quota and govt approved scholarships.
Campus Life
The campus life here is very good and cool as compared to the govt universities . Varoious events and fests are also organised by the uni for the students get enrolled in co curriculor activities as well as academics. Various events such as bievenue and also calls famous celebrities and stand up comedians to entertain the students of the uni. The campus also has a central library and library in each department of different course which has all the journal known to mankind. The classrooms are fully air conditioned and well cleaned
Admission
I applied for punjabi university previously but didnt take addmission in that. After i visited that i got to know they do not provide us with placements and also took a tour which got me know that the infrastructure was not that kind of good also the labs were not up to the mark,Comparing it with Chitkara university. The eligibility for admission in cu is that one should score 60 percentage with math/bio chem and physics as core subjects.
Faculty
The faculty members of my department are all doctors which in india no other college has and all of them are well educated provide very good quality of notes which have sufficient amount of knowledge covered according to age group. There are various amount of teachers if one of them get absent another teacher takes the period by that the syllabus portion does not lefts behind . Ms. Veerta is a very good teacher and teaches APHE. She understands the problems of a student and also give good notes and has very nice behaviour. She is a strict teacher but very nice too. Our uni takes two STs and one end term examinations and is very strict about the attendance. If one has short attendance he/she gets detained
