Remarks
The only thing i think we need to improve in our college is placements. We need some more companies visiting the college bcoz the students worth it.
Entrance Preview
I wrote EAMCET exam and got 18642 rank for which i got admitted into RGMCET. Actually i had no idea of any branch at that time, since ECE was popular then i had to take ECE in my B.Tech. RGMCET was one of top 3 reputed colleges in our rayalaseema region, so i opted for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
We had a very good course curriculum. Since it is an autonomous college they had the chance to reorganize syllabus pattern and so they introduced some extra labs and subjects which were useful to the industry. For example we were taught embedded , verilog and java( It was also there for ECE whereas other clgs had it for CSE only) which were useful for us later.
Internships Opportunities
No. We dont get any chance for internships in our college. We had to do projects in the college itself. We learned many things working in the labs of our college.
Placement Experience
The placements were not much enough, But we had few good companies visiting our college like TCS, HCL. The package was based on the company. Almost 200 of our students were placed in our batch. TCS had its package as 3.26., There were also core companies visiting our college.
College Events
We have dept wise and college wise events organized. We have technical symposiums and conferences held dept wise in the name of RIPPLE( RGM Invites Paper Presentations from Learned Engineers). We have college day and EXPO held college wide. We have sports held in the name of RGM SANGRAM for students, teaching and nonteaching staff. Apart from this farewell and freshers are held commonly.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure was bearable at our time, college fees was 34000 and hostel was 44000. We had really good hostel and college facilities. But i am not sure about the current fees structure. We had extra 2000 for library, but that was useful as we could access many books. We need to pay exam fees at the time of exams for each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
College does not offfer any scholarship or loan. But we have one culture of giving free education for students who have got 90% in any one year of b.Tech.
Campus Life
We had good oppurtunity for extracurricular activities like seminars, debate, we also had e-plus club sponsored by 'The Hindu' and organised many activities. We had many other clubs like cultural, Science and technology, Innovative clubs giving equal opportunities to boys and clubs.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel was really really very good. Only three per room with attached bathroom. We had the chance to read without any disturbance in hstl. We had the wifi facliity to explore the opportunities.We were given healthy and nutritious food. The fees was 44000
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors and alumni are very helpful. We had our seniors from reputed companies like honeywell coming to our college and training us. They really helped us a lot.
Exam Structure
We had a good exam structure. We had enough time to prepare the subject. We even had the facility to postpone or prepone our exams based on the completion of syllabus. We had a flexible timetable and schedule. We had enough to prepare and attend other com
