Course Curriculum Overview
Earning a BCA degree from the Shankara Institute of Technology, Jaipur, I was privileged to be exposed to a comprehensive curriculum that was well suited to the emerging field of computer science. Looking back on my experience within the hads of The Bachelor of Computer Applications program for three years, there is no doubt that the curriculum was one of the reasons why I decided to take up this course, and has indeed influenced positively my academic and career advancement.
Internships Opportunities
The internships were not provided by college even though it was mentioned in the brochure. There were supposed to be 3 internships in 3 summers of the course but we got none so we went for off campus internships and excelled at it ourselves we applied our own knowledge to build Android applications as flutter developers.
Placement Experience
The placement is somewhat good, I mean the companies come and go and choose some candidates but the postions are not relevant at all. Programming course students getting hr profile job is just absurd. Also at the end of the day it's on you. I got my placement off campus by relying on my skills.
Fees and Financial Aid
Starting off with the registration fees I paid 10000 rupees as registration fees. And then 80000 tuition fees which Included all the lab and library fees. I also paid 5000 rupees yearly fees as exam fees. So that makes total 265000 fees in total. Yes the fees is increasing my juniors paid 125000 rupees per year
Campus Life
There are fests per year where many companies come to see students perform in hackathon and provide them with internships. There are cultural competitions between college of same affiliations. We won hackathon once or twice. There are sports as well like badminton basketball cricket etc. I terms of library our library is huge with all the academic books one needs to study.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel life was good just because of our goofy friends and their goofy activities lol. Apart from that the facilities were average just like any other hostels. Though no cooler or ac was provided in such a hot place. Also the drinking water spot was like 300 meters away from hostel building. And the water quality was also bad. Also there was no food menu you have to eat what you are served and the food quality was average not tasty though. You can opt for hostel during registration or arrange your own accomodation.
Admission
Well I wanted to do bca and this was the only college to the best of my knowledge that accepted students for BCA without a maths background. However the fees was on the bad side though. Admission process was very simple. Just get your documents pay your fees sign the documents and you are done.
Faculty
Faculty members are experienced and they know their stuff well. They closely co-operate with students in practicals final year projects, exams and other extracurricular activities. Also there are total of 3 exams year wise exams. And the first year felt very easy after that the subjects got harder. But with the help of group studying we got through.
