Skill development University after B.Tech.

The overall experience with this university, let it be faculties, administration, hostel and mess staff was really good for me.

The university is accredited by the government of Rajasthan, mhrd and UGC council. The campus is set like in an industrial manner with high-end machine tools, equipment, and work desks. The course is structured on the one man one machine concept i.e. There are 15 individual machines and work desks for every 15 students in the batch. The students are taught in a very lean and conceptual manner with detailed knowledge required to read engineering drawings, preparing work plans, tool list, machine operating and maintaining the machine, design elements and code programs for advanced manufacturing and assembly procedures. After production of a job element, students need to prepare an inspection report and get it checked by the respective trainers in the department to get credits. Each student is provided workshop uniforms, safety shoes, safety glasses, and stationery items required during the tenure. I did a skill certificate course in the school of manufacturing skills. It comprised of following modules: - basic measurements - conventional turning - conventional milling - assembly - handskills - pneumatic technology - coordinate measuring machine - grinding - AutoCAD - SolidWorks - mastercam - cnc turning - cnc milling The exams are taken in a dynamic manner in which students are given only 3 hours to read given drawings, prepare a work plan and tool list and finally produce the job and prepare an inspection report. This practical exam weighs 70% of the exam and a theory exam worth 30% is also taken. A training report is needed to be submitted at the end of training to get the certificate. This report is worth 30 marks. The presence of a student is calculated in working hours for each module.

The best scoring students may get a place as junior trainers in the same university (depending upon vacancies) or easily get a place in around 3-4 industries of the similar trust which operates the university. All those industries are located in Jaipur only near the university campus. The placement cell also organizes placement activities like job interviews and internship interviews for the worthy student who score well throughout the modules. And over these all activities a student is prepared superconfident and skilled to apply in any industry with better confidence and preparation.

The university mainly focuses on the enhancement of practical knowledge of the students in their chosen disciplines. But it also organizes different seminars, sports events, and educational visits. The university regularly participates in national and world level skill competitions. And during my training period, I have witnessed the best students of the university winning various national level skill competitions and getting selected for world level competitions.

The fee for advanced skill certificated course is 50,000. The fee can be submitted in two installments. Fee can be submitted by paytm, phone pe, upi, cheque, cash, debit cards or bank challans. Rs. 250 is needed to be submitted to purchase safety shoes from the school itself. But the uniform, safety glass, and stationery items including workshop manuals and notes are provided under course fee itself.

I did not avail any scholarship or educational loan. But some negotiations can be done in fee for the course on the basis of academic performance of a student by talking to the management.

The campus is made and maintained green. It has indoor sports facilities and large grounds to play outdoor games too. Occasional college and hostel events are held on the campus. The gender ration in the university is at present not good because of girls getting less interest in practical ethics of engineering and actually working on production floors and sites. Bhartiya skill development university is one of its kind in the northern region of the country because of its one man one machine concept. Hence diversity of students enrolling into the different courses and schools of this university is accounted for.

Hostel fee including room and mess facilities is rs. 5,500/month. Electricity bill is not included in this. Ac & non-ac rooms are available in the boy's hostel comprising of two multistory buildings of having around 500 rooms in the campus. Separate hostel for girls is situated in a residential society outside the university campus at a mere distance if 2 km. Bus and van facilities for girls and students residing in nearby localities in Jaipur.

The old alumni and trainers are really helpful and cooperative in every manner of academic and real-world aspects relate to career.

Any b.tech pass out can apply for the six months advance skill certificate course in this institute. The admissions are on the first come first serve basis. Only 15 b.tech. Students are admitted into a six months program. There are two batches admitted in a year, one in January and other in July. There are the following skill schools in the university: - school of manufacturing skills - school of electrical skills - school of automotive skills - school of carpentry skills - school of it skills & networking - school of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) - school of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The faculty in each school has also gone under the trainer training and have a good understanding of the machine methods used there. The university started on a dual system of Indian and Swiss technology. All the workbooks and manuals are provided from a Swiss educational society. The master trainers in each of the schools hail from Switzerland who has years of experience in their relevant field of technology. All the faculty members are super cooperative and well experienced and aware of there respective fields of teaching. And all the administrative faculties and senior staffs are retired army personnel. Hence the discipline in the university campus cannot be doubted.
