What Students Say
Likes
- Most of the teachers will encourage you to do hardwork and to gain knowledge. Probably they will guide in a right way.
- Most of the faculties are highly knowledgeable.
- Opportunity to learn research skills from teachers and there are Phd students who are also very helpful.
Dislikes
- Only one library is there for two campus ( DPSRU and DIPSAR). But books are available, so don't worry about standard books.
- College infrastructure is not that big, it is still under construction. Hopefully after construction, everything will be fine.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I am more interested in drugs, this medicine or drug world is very fascinating. The curriculum designed is good but it should be more focussed towards skill building like research, industry exposure or more practicals. The curriculum should include subjects like modern age technologies used in medicine, AI, etc.
Internships Opportunities
There is a incubation center in campus where many startups are present. They also offers internship which may include stipened. These internships help in gaining skills amd experience. And also Hospital internships are available which any pharma student can do in their long holidays after approval from college.
Placement Experience
From 8th semester students are eligible for campus placements There are many companies visited in college which hire the students on basis of their skills. Companies visited can be seen in prospectus of college. Most probably i will opt for higher studies to enter in the field of research.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee for B.Pharm is 90000 P.A.This fee includes tuition fees, exam fees, lab fees, and other charges. This fee is applicable on General, OBC, EWS candidates and fee for SC and ST category excludes tuition fee ( 60000). Few Government scholarships are available like National Scholarship Program and State Govt. scholarships which is notified by the college administration.
Campus Life
After Covid, no college fest are organized but annual convocation occur. Most of the books are available in the library but the journal subscription are not there. Air conditioner and Projector are present in the classrooms. Due to construction no sports activities are there. There are many clubs, social groups which may help in personality development and skills like team work, leadership skill etc.
Admission
I chose this college because I want to study about drugs and only two colleges are in who offers B.Pharm or higher education in Pharma. One is private whose fee is more than the my present college. Admission are made on the basis of merit obtained from class 12th result ( Physics, Chemistry, Bio/ Maths). Usually the cutoffs are high which are available on its official website.
Faculty
I think Faculty to student ratio is good. All the faculties are approachable and Most of the faculties are very helpful. Some faculties are like friends, they will guide and teach you in a best possible way. In one semester, which is about of six months there two sessional exams for every subject theory and practicals separately and then a final exam. Exams are not so easy or not so difficult, it is like students who will study consistently they will easily get good marks. One or two students are present in every class who are not serious about their studies so they will definitely fail in their exams.
