Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose a bachelor of commerce as I am pursuing a chartered accountant course along with it. As both the course syallabus go hand in hand, it creates an advantage for me. As for the curriculum our college is doing its best in providing relevant subjects which link up to each other making it very practical to study. The exams are conducted for practice once a month which is quite helpful.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am going to the evening batch my fee structure is 27000 and it has been the same since 1st year. The new admits may have to pay 28000 probably. The evening batch is worth it compared to the morning batch. The complete cost including fests, exam fees miscellaneous rounds off to 30000. Since I didn't apply for a scholarship. I had no scholarships. Campus placement takes place one month prior to the final sem exam. I applied for Capricorn Logistics and have not yet been rewarded my job position.

Campus Life

4

Ganesha festival is conducted every year along with one week-long fest named prism week 2022, spectrum week 2023, and utkrist week 2024, also freshers day and graduation days are also celebrated. Academic and a few self-help books can be found in the library also magazines and newspapers related to finance and business are also available. A generous number of desks, projectors, tables, blinds, a green board, and laptops(to the faculties). There are not many sports opportunities provided on campus. No student-run clubs are made.

Admission

12th pass with good results is the eligibility of the course. All the application details can be obtained through third part websites or at the campus itself. I am not aware of reservation benefits provided in out college. The admission process is quite decent. Hence I don't have any suggestions to give.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculties chosen in K.L.E degree college have completed their masters in commerce or PhD. They are highly intelligent in the subject they take as most of them chose the mastery they have completed, which adds up to their explaining capacity of such subject, which is clear and on point. Some faculties are so good and friendly that we approach them for each and every doubt arises as expected receive the answer from them ..on contradiction or con to that, few faculties are overly strict which creates distance between students and teachers.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
