GITAM Visakhapatnam Review: Is it worth the price you pay?

One area where the curriculum should improve is the grading system. Overall the course is effective but it's quite expensive compared to other colleges. Frequent exams, quizzes and mid exams are conducted. Also few faculties are very lethargic and hardly teach.

In final year we get the opportunity to do intership for month. We can either find our own intership through our contacts or else the college will help us but usually the companies are small ones. The companies which college offers does not give any stipend. In 5th semester we have to make a report on our internship.

Students become eligible for placement from 6th semester. This year very few companies visited. The placement opportunities are very limited for UG programme (management) There were less offers made and the percentage of students getting placement was also very less.

Every year they are increasing the course fees. The complete cost of my education 300000. While admission you can write GAT and get scholarships according to your marks. In final year one has to do 1 month intership. There are many clubs available. Overall I can say it's an expensive college.

Almost every month fests and events are conducted such as Gem fest, shore fest, Gusac carnival etc. They are plenty of clubs to choose from. In management block there is a library and also there is one main library where you can find variety of books. Every class has Ac.

Eligibility- A minimum of 50% or 5.0 cgpa in state/CBSE/ICSE board. You can find the application form on Gitam official site. The registeration fee is 1200. Overall the admission is quite easy and the difficulty level of GAT exam is easy.

Faculty members are really nice and empathetic. They often interact with us and give us their valuable insights and suggestions. They are approachable and their are teaching style is effective and easy to understand. Frequent interaction with our faculties helps us build a strong student- teacher rapport.
