What Students Say

Likes

The college focuses much on studies. Regularly classes are conducted and notes are provided.
Most of the teachers are highly educated and professional. Their teaching methods are quite good and effectived.
75 per cent attendance is mandatory to appear for terms. And the terms are scheduled timely without any delay.

Dislikes

The campus size is too small. The college campus is not much of a campus but a school. No fests are conducted often.
The uniform here is really weird and uncomfortable specially for girls.
No extracurricular activities are promoted much and fully focused on studies.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is totally theoretical based. I don't think it prepares us for the real world but the terms are timely conducted without any delay. It is an autonomous college so they schedule theur own exams and the exams are medium in difficulty level.

Class Size: 450Course Fees: INR 24000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is 24000 for self finance students yearly. Including all the charges which is quite affordable for the students. Also the scholarship is available the government for the college students.

Campus Life

Not much of the fests are conducted. The fests are conducted like annual functions. Different fests are conducted by different departments. The extra curricular activities are not much focused on . The social life is not that good in college

Admission

For bcom eligibility you have to pass intermediate and have aggregate per centage of 55 marks from any stream. The admission forms are availabe on the official website of the college with all the updates and details.

Faculty

The teachers are really nice and can be interacted with easily. All the teachers appointed are well qualified and educated. All the faculty members are really nice by nature. The teachers are helpful and understanding.

Placement Experience:

Mostly students do masters and other course like ca cs after bachelors. In final years the students become eligible for campus placement. Companies that visited for placement are HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank ,Wipro, LIC ,SBI . The average package is around 3 to 5 lakh per annum . Highest highest package offered to faculty of Commerce student is around 40 lakh per annum by Aditya Birla and federal Bank. Around 20% students get placed each year with average starting package of around 3 to 5 lakh. I have planned for masters after the degree

Placements in my college is quite interesting to be discussed about because top companies do come to BHU because of its excellent students. After 3rd sem one can apply for Placements. Avg package is 3 lakh which is quite a good start. My plan is to do internship after the college.

I love accounts that's why I chose Bachelor of commerce and the faculty was also very good. Almost all the teachers had done PHD. This course made me very well prepared for the real world. They had this internship program in the final year of the course which helped students so much. The exams were conducted semester wise. The exam were very simple like if you study well then you can pass the exam easily but if you not then there's nothing one can do.

Remarks:

The management is fine however the committee elections are happening on a periodic basic. Also there is good understanding between the management and the academic counsil of the college. I didn't remember any such mess between managing committee and academic / support staff.
