Course Curriculum Overview :
CMS College Kottayam is a autonomous College which is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University. The college follows the curriculum of Mahatma Gandhi University The course I study is based of 3 year Degree curriculum which is to change as the new 4 year degree is about to assert.
Internships Opportunities :
Students have to complete 25 days internship in any company of their choice the work should reflect your course and should provide a record of the activities younhave done Basically done on or before your 5th semester You can choose your own place or seek the help from the faculties
Placement Experience :
College provide 100% placements If you like enroll any job after completing the course you will have to register your name on the placement cell of the college This should be done during your 5th sem Many private banks are hiring the students
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If you get on a merit list if will not have pay anything for the fees on admission but if you have to get the management seat there will payment froma around 20-50 k For aided course yearly you will have to pay only upto 3k probably For Self financing course like mine I have to pay 125k-130k for the whole course and can increase according to the course you take Exam fees are other expenses
Campus Life :
There is Onam, Christmas, college day,union days ,arts day etc No literary festival as such done in college for last 3 years There will programs conducted by the college for the seasonal celebration and union and college day the elected student union ,arts festival with both parties included Other programs are conducted bybthe students union in the college
Hostel Facilities :
There is seperate UG and PG college hostel forngirls and sports hostel PG and sports hostel in inside college premises but UG is just a 5 min away form the college gate Meal quality is not satisfactory and no menu is provided You will have pay rent 1500 and food expenses 3500 There will no reduction for Saturday and Sunday even if you are not present on that days unless therevis long vacation or holiday on any special occasion There is separate charging space and no plug facility in room Water is bathroom is good and clean Kitchen and refrigerator cannot be used by the students There is strict curfew as well
Admission :
You can apply online via college website For both aided and self financing course Admission fee will 500rs If the window closes you can apply offline with some late fee There will reservation and merits for the ones deserved and sopt admission will also held, contact college desk for more
Faculty :
The faculty members are professionals and experienced Many departments have teachers above 25 years of experience We have daily basis interaction with faculties and they even provide student mentorship
