Course Curriculum Overview
The core subjects like counting and finance influenced my decision to choose B.Com. While it provided a solid theoretical foundation, more emphasis on practical skills and industry exposure could better prepare students for real-world applications. Updating the curriculum to reflect current industries practices and incorporating hands-on learning experiences would be beneficial. Balanced exams, assessing understanding without being overly difficult, are crucial. Overall, while B.Com offers valuable foundational knowledge, improvements in relevance, real world preparation, and assessment methods are needed.
Fees and Financial Aid
So when I was studying there was no tution fee increase policy. The complete cost of my education was 88,000/- INR that includes tution fee and admission fee there where no other charges apart from that. There are plenty of scholarships available in the college, I myself got the scholarship through sports quota and there are several other scholarships available for people who are good in academics. National level palyers and sports level players get scholarships and children of army people also get scholarships. I didn't opted for the job placement but yeah college provides good placement to its student and some good companies come to the campus for hiring students.
Campus Life
My experience at Mahaveer College was vibrant and enriching. The annual festivals like Udaan in February and Prerna in September added excitement to campus life. The library boasted a diverse collection of books and journals, easily accessible for research. Classrooms were well-equipped with modern facilities and technology, enhancing the experience. On the social front, the college offered various sports and extra curricular activities, fostering a sense of community and healthy competition. Additionally, student-run clubs like the Entrepreneurship Club and Cultural Society provided avenues for personal growth and expression. Online student portals facilitated communication and collaboration among peers, enriching student life further. Overall, Mahaveer College provided a dynamic campus life with ample opportunities for social engagement, club environment, and academic exploration.
Admission
The admission process was very smooth. The cutoff was 50% in your 12thth class. We can get the application form from the college itself and you have to go to college to know about the fee structure and the same goes for application date .I didn't avail any reservation benefits but the girls don't have to pay their tuition fee for the first year they just have to pay the admission fee. The exams are conducted in every two two three months so that the students are well prepared for the final exams and the difficulty level of the exam is also very good. The areas for improvement in the admission process are: 1. The college should start taking admissions online. 2. The details regarding the college should be available online. 3. They should increase their cutoff to get good students in their college.
Other Applied Colleges
Jaipuria Institute of Management | Post Graduate Diploma in Management [PGDM]
I didn't opt for this college because this college doesn't provide good placements.
