- The college timings are a bit long. It becomes hectic and tiring sometimes.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course contains all the programming concepts and also other topics in the field of computer science. The curriculum gives me a great insight in the real world applications and it adds up to my interest in learning further in the field of programming and computer science. The curriculum is kind of imbalanced. It has a good share of practical subjects but I feel that it should still focus more on the practical subjects rather than theory based subjects as the course is oriented to programming.
Internships Opportunities
The college offers internship in the second year of graduation. Some of the companies which have come to the college giving the opportunities for internships are TCS and also the startups, many startups which are there in T-Hub have also reached out to the college giving out internship opportunities to the students of it. But only a small portion of students have the chance of getting the internships.
Placement Experience
The criteria for placements in the college is pretty simple, the candidate shouldn't have any backlogs in any semester, and also should maintain a percentage of 75% in each semester. The college has around a percentage of 80% students getting placed and the average package of the placement is 3.5 lakh rupees. The highest package is of 10 lakh rupees.I want to become a full stack web developer after getting the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The structure of fee is simple. The total fee including tuition, service fees, and other compulsory charges would be 5000 per year. It is 28000 per semester. The possibility of hike is high as it is an autonomous institution. The college doesn't support the government scholarships as per my knowledge for graduation. Although it provides it's own scholarship for a small segment of people which is given by merit.
Campus Life
The college conducts alots of festivals. The annual festival is conducted in march mostly. And the technical festivalsare conducted almost every month from the commencement of the semester. The biggest festival of the college i.e Megha is conducted in the month of January. The library contains a wide range of books. It has both subjected related books and also casual reading books. It also has many magzines and contains newspapers of many years. The classrooms are decent having good ventilation and space to accommodate the students of a class. The computer lab of the college is also well equipped with computers, projectors and air conditioners providing a proper space for the students to focus on their practicals. The college encourages the students for participation in sports. The college has separate grounds for basketball, kabaddi, softball, football and cricket. The coaches help the students train for the tournaments with maximum efforts. Every department has it's own clubs.
Admission
The admission process is very simple. The seats are provided based on merit. There is no interview or group discussion for the admission. The cutoff for the course varies based on the set of people applying for the course but 75% is the minimum to be maintained. The application form is provided at the reception of the college. You can get the other details of the application fees and dates too from the reception. There's no designated person for admission process, it is the department lecturer who look over the process which makes the process a bit uneasy as the lecturers sometimes don't have the answer to the administrative questions.
