Describing ISM

As it is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University the syllabus is quite outdated. I don't know about other courses but talking about BCA, It has the basics of programming in first 3 semesters and after 3rd semester you get to introduced with database and other high leval programming tools. The overall curriculum is good but it doesn't prepares you for the real world interviews. You will have to practice yourself to get good placements. The faculties over the college are good for examination preparation and it also have some faculty who have great knowledge and who help students to learn extra from there main syllabus. The internal college exams are on time and even the results are declared within time. The internal exams are not such difficult, you just need to go through your notes and you can score good.

The fee structure of ISM Patna is quite affordable when compared to other colleges in Patna. The tution fee may vary from year to year but for me, the total fee for my course was Rs 2lac. I also got a scholarship of Rs 10,000 as I had more than 70% score in my 12th board exams. I have Rs 60,000 as my tution fee per year and miscellaneous charges of Rs 20,000 which includes lab, library and other development charges. Remember, the fee collected is per semester, so you have to pay the amount of approx Rs 30,000 per 6 months. You also have to pay Rs 3800 as examination registration fee per semester before University exams. The dress is included with the fee but there are also some hidden charges which you have to pay later as you go on with the college. As I said the university exam fees and all.

The campus life at ISM Patna is quite amazing. Talking about the campus, I can say that ISM got the best campus as a private college in Patna. No other private colleges in Patna has such a beautiful campus. ISM also keeps organising events at campus to take a break from boring semester life. We have fresher's, farewell, a cultural event and other events at campus. Every classroom is equipped with projector and white board for live demonstration of academic learnings. The overall books in Library are good. You can also borrow books for 7 days and then renew it. There are also different clubs created such as cultural club, sports club, digital technology club which keeps on organising different events in the campus regularly. Overall the campus experience is very great at ISM but is kind of strict.

The addmission process was quite simple and merit based. The eligibility criteria for my course was more than 60% marks in 12th board exams. You can easily find the application form on the website of the college which is www.ismpatna.ac.in . The application fee was Rs350. This college starts accepting addmissions as soon as you got your 12th results and all documents. As it is affiliated from Aryabhatta University, the frequency and timings of exams are so undermined. Aryabhatta University just takes exams on based on there mood. Sometimes the exams are 2-3 months late and sometimes students don't even get chance to prepare for the semesters. Same is the situations for results. The copies are barely checked properly. It's just that you fill 25-30 pages and you'll score good. Over-all the college is good and the addmission process is also very smooth but the college needs some improvements in management areas.
