Bachelor in Dentistry has eventually made its way up the ladder in medicinal science though not all of the population seems to have ideas of its importance. We still seem to be ignorant when it comes to our oral hygiene's. However, the course as a whole provides great opportunities. But as for the College, there is a lot of improvement needed. The practical learning is fun and at times tiring and frustrating. The college needs lots of improvement when it comes to its clinical/laboratories facilities. There are a lot of assignments provided and Dentistry practical assignments are time-consuming which needs lots of patience and care. The college has various departments such as Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeries, Dental Anatomy, Histology and Pathology, Orthodontics, Paedodontics, Prosthodontics & Maxillofacial Prosthetics, Community Dentistry and Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics. The college also offers Courses for higher PG studies. The college also has a Nursing college.

Yes, the college provides an internship to the students, and internship period is also known as the most enjoying and fun period of the five-year course. But the stipend amount is way too less which is not up to even a thousand rupees.

Placement isn't available in the college unless you get through government quota. There are a few students who are admitted in the college through state government quota and they only have the better options for placement in various hospitals. However, those who get admitted under management quota has to have their own options for employment.

There are events like Musical night, College Fest, Annual sports meet interdepartmental and interclass sports events. The staff and students both participate in these events and the Maitri league is a great platform for the sport enthusiast and is fun with the auction events.

Most of the Private medical institutions charge the course fees in huge amount and not all the students or medical aspirants can afford it. However, this college is one of the cheapest which offers the same opportunity to make your career in the field of medicine. The course fee is approximately Rs1.90 lacs per annum and a hostel fee of Rs50000 p.a. In total, your expenses per annum would amount to Rs 2.90 lacs Per Anum Including caution money, cost of books, uniforms, aprons, instruments etc.

The college, in particular, does not provide scholarships, but you can apply for various scholarships under the state of central government and has tied up with the banks for educational loans.

Hostel rooms are compact and with the current hostel fee, I would rather recommend getting a P.G or rented room in an around the college. Rental charges are quite inexpensive and a flat of 2BHK would cost just 6k-7k in Durg. And the college hostel provides only veg meals. So, it is an added disadvantage for non- veg lovers.

The alumni network seems to be non-functioning and isn't much of a participant towards the college development or events.

Like every college, this college also has some great professors and lecturers and some inexperience teaching staff as well. The administration in the college is way lower than expected. But I have come across a few really enthusiastic, supportive and understanding staffs who are always standby to provide every help needed by their students. But my overall rating for the administrative staff and the teaching staff would be 6/10.
