Course Curriculum Overview

4

Main decision for me to choose this course was largely influenced by the reputation of the institutoin in my home town and neighbour cities. While most of the core subjects that they teach in the class room are outdated as of 2024, the new bacth that enters the college at year 2024 has subjects, exams, mark allocations, syllabus framed according to the J.N.T.U.A. They provide us with lot of platform to practice coding and to fine tune our understandings on the difficult subjects by providing us with learning platforms like infosys spring board etc.

Internships Opportunities

2

The internship opportunities on campus are a rare sight at our college. Most of my seniors have got placements offcampus. Some of companies that offerd internships are TCS, TATA Motors, Statagic cloud services, and many civil and mech related companies.

Placement Experience

3.5

the thing is that for placements dont expect that each and every one will get them. tho it is not on par with many big universities, i have seen brains that are on par with some of my friends from nits and iiits. the skilled will get job no matter what the University or what the placement rate is but if im to talk about the placements then before the recession thats going on now i think more than 90 percent of the stuents in cse got placed. Even in this recissoin period, most of my seniors have cracked the placements. There will be no FANG range companies visiting here. The highest placement was for ece student(20lpa). AVG package is arround 4-6lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Commint to tution fee, if the cadidate got admitted with high score in emcet (check cutoff for more details) he or she will awail the benifit of free seat and need to pay 75,000 RS annualy. There are no donation seats are per my knowledge but one can join via NRI quota if there are seats available and the fee for buying that NRI seat as per 2021 was arround 6 lakhs and is increasing year by year and as of 2024 i think it is arrounf 8lakhs. Those with high cgpa are awarded with cash price each year and for some of internal programmes like smart interviews where some org teaches us DSA, they charge a fee and our clg pays 50% on our behalf. If we are not able to pay other 50% we can ask for clg to pay and they will if valid reason is provided. The students who have passed out but are still waiting for comapny to call they , the clg provided with assitant tutor jobs.

Campus Life

4

There are no dj fests which can be seen in other colleges. Here in GPREC there are fests that are typically less noisy but still enjoyabe. There is an event called Ethinic day held once every 2 years, and lot of events like AVISKAR, BRAINWRECK, ANOKHA, TED-X, and much more individual events organised by clubs present within.Comming to library, u name it-they mostlikely will have it. It also has free internet and computer access with arround 40 computers. Each classroom is equipped with projector and whiteboard. There are many sport events that happen each year especially cricket. There are wide range of clubs that are only related to education rather than clubs like anime, japanese, movies, etc which are a bit more fun for me personally.

Admission

The eligibility criteria for the course is if they qualify through EAPCET(A.P Emcet) exam then if got a rank that satisfies their cutoff expectatoins of that respective year(2021->cutoff 10,000 for me) then the candidate can secure a free seat with an annual fee of 70,000 rupees. All the info regarding the application forms, fees and dates can be found on the website www.gprec.ac.in Additionally the cadidates from Economically Weaker Section can awail the benifit of slight relaxation in the cutoff for admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
