Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The MBA curriculum aligns with parental aspirations for career stability and growth, covering essential business domains like finance, marketing, operations, strategy, and leadership. With experienced faculty and networking opportunities, it meets expectations while laying a solid foundation for future careers. However, there's room for improvement in teaching quality, study materials, and assessment practices. The teaching methods are average, study materials are outdated, and exams are infrequent and challenging. To address this, the college should update materials, improve teaching methods, and implement a more balanced exam schedule with regular testing. This would enhance the learning experience and better prepare students for academic and professional challenges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost of my MBA education exceeds 275,000 units, including tuition fees of 125,000. This sum encompasses compulsory expenses like bus and canteen fees, with additional charges for hostel residents. Despite these financial commitments, campus employment opportunities are scarce, especially for MBA students, as companies primarily recruit undergraduate engineering students. This imbalance exacerbates financial strain, prompting exploration of scholarships like the TANCET exam scholarship. These initiatives recognize academic merit and ease financial burdens. As a first-generation college student, I understand the importance of tailored financial aid. Despite challenges, I remain determined to achieve academic and career goals through perseverance and resourcefulness.

Campus Life

2

The college's farewell festival usually took place in the third semester, showcasing various activities like dance and singing. While the library offers a range of resources, securing specific materials can be competitive. Facilities like computer access enhance research capabilities. However, there's a noticeable lack of emphasis on sports for MBA students and limited student-run social groups tailored to them. In contrast, BE students enjoy abundant opportunities for extracurricular involvement.

Admission

For entrance exams, I bought a separate book and dedicated time to studying for the TANCET Exam. The college had a specified cut-off score for admission, and meeting this score was essential for consideration. Upon meeting the cut-off score, I was pleased to discover that the college offered a fee deduction of 25000 rupees when joining, which was a significant relief and incentive for me. During the admission process, after completing my entrance exam, I went to the college for fees payment. Unfortunately, I found that there was a lack of valuable information provided to me at that time. Additionally, despite meeting the cut-off score from the entrance exam, I was surprised to find that the college issued me some extra fees for bus services and canteen food upon joining. This unexpected additional financial burden was disappointing and took me by surprise, as I had not been adequately
