Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The reason to choose this course is , it has good curriculum starting from the basics we have learnt from our schooling and increases the level by improving the students knowledge also with the support of practically applying what we have learnt to make easily understood and to apply the subject in real world & this also can help to pursue further studies & for placemens. The another reason is teaching methods were also excellent, they teach the subject from the standard textbooks & journals which allows us also to apply it in our practice in our internal, external exams & in our internships too.Genuinely avoid presentations for teaching that can strongly help the students to gain knowledge. And in our curriculum the exams will be conducted annually including practicals that helps us to gain lots of subject related knowledge in between the academic year & to accomplish our goals, and in between we are supposed to write sessional exams to perform & score very well in our final annual exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Under internship Avenida company offered a role in internship that helps us to improve practical knowledge as pharmacist it includes collection of cases from each department of the hospital and assessing interventions of pharmacotherapy by entering into their portal. But no stipend is provided for internship in our college.Projests like improvement of quality of life for each disease by applying statistics and presenting them

Placement Experience

4

For campus placements 6th year students are eligible for our course. As of now Iam aware of companies like aurobindo, Avenida, omega, episource, excelra companies visited our college for placements and offered average package of 1,25,000.50-60 percent of students are getting place every year. After my graduation I choose to do a job by cracking the interview in campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

My education cost Including tuition fees which is 43,000 service fees like hostel & bus fees is about 60,000 and other miscellaneous compulsory fees like laboratory, Library, records, conferences, personality development programme, all these education fee total comes about 1,45,000.We are financially assisted by the government for our tuition fee i.e 45,000 with the scheme named jagananna vidyadeevena which is released quarterly and for reservation students it is aided by the central government,we also have a scheme it is named jagananna vasathi deevena for hostelers which aids witha amount of 20,000 per year but we received it only for one year of our course, since 3 years it didn't reached us to meet our hostel fee. There is nothing like campus employement but few people are alloted for responsibilities like antiragging committe members, protocol committe members when there is commencement of any college programme they will be actively used in it who were not received any stipend awards

Campus Life

4

College conducts many programs for every auspicious day a year like national girl child day in January month, Cancer Day in February, women's day in March, Environment Day in June, pharmacovigilance week in ending of October, Kidney day, diabetes day etc, extracurricular activities conducted during this every months special days that brings out our new talents & build up confidence in us. freshers day and annually a fest is conducted too. Sports are also much encouraged by our college where students feel stress reliever. We also have NSS participation every year where we do general services, pharmacy camps representing our college in our nearby areas. Our classrooms are facilitated with very good enough equipment and projects are available. No student portals/social groups are encouraged in our college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel facilities are good enough now after changing 2 to 3 PG hostels.A fan,an almirah,a washroom,if needed washing machine services & hot water services are provided.Morning break fast, afternoon a Meal & night dinner is provided in hostels.Meal quantity is adequate and menu mostly includes pure veggies in a week and in the Sunday's a non-veg curry is supplied for a one meal of the day.Hostels affordability is high for my present financial statu. My PG hostel locality is far from my college and in the centre ofguntur city.

Admission

My admission process was new to me but it wasn't hard. Immediately after my intermediate board exams I have visited our nearby internet centres & applied for Ap eamcet entrance exam for my graduation & after its results, I applied for counselling according to my rank and Iam eligible for my pharm D course. All the application form , and application fees were online only & I found their dates & all information with the help of the government websites i.e APSCHE notifications and newspapers.I have SC reservation benefits which have low cutoffs i.e my college cutoff for pharm D is 32,000 and I scored 22,000 rank, this was a great help to easily achieve my goal by pursuing pharmD course in a good college. The frequency and timings of the exam were good since the exam is given from the syllabus we have studied in our intermediate,so it's easy to achieve. The admission process can be improved by suggesting the students for the course & college for which they will be eligible for their rank, reservation.

The specific aspects of the curriculum that influenced me most is the course provide me with the doctorate as it is a 6 year course it help me to learn new things in medicine. We also visit hospital ward for rounds which helps us to prepare for real world application. The teachers should improve learning ways to shift to board method and the exams would be only once a month. The timings of exam should be increased so that the difficulty level can be reached
