Entrance Preview

I didn't take any entrance exams. I got in through merit. It was through Anna University Counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is good, but there is still more scope for improvement in the Anna University Curriculum to increase more practical exposure.

Internships Opportunities

I haven't gone for an internship from my college. I have gone for one day industrial visits to Ennore power plant and Integral Coach Factory. It was just a basic visit to the site to understand the functioning and the processes.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement is really terrible in my college. There were some opportunities for IT students. I being a mechanical student didn't get any mechanical companies for the placement drive.

College Events

2.5

Department and College Level symposiums were celebrated. There were some department related activities like IEEE, SAE events which all the members participated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for the academics. The bus travel fees was a bit too high. The fees for the bus was increased even before the rise in diesel prices.

Fees and Financial Aid

No good scholarship facilities or loans are offered by my college. I have not availed any such loan or scholarship. I joined the college through anna university merit, So i just had a different fee structure from the management quota students.

Campus Life

3.5

The college had a decent infrastructure, but the college faculty members did not utilize the complete potential. The college faculties restricted extra curricular activities which should have been a part of a student's life. There was less encouragement.

Hostel Facilities

3

I am a day scholar and I am not aware about the hostel facilities, but I have heard from my friends that the hostel facilities are a bit bad and the food is really terrible.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni network was a bit good for our seniors as there were alumni meetings to give some insight to the existing students on the current job trends and the industrial requirements. But, as an alumni, our batch was not contacted for the purpose.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs were not very hectic. It was normal and there was ample time for preparation. There were cycle tests and then semester exams.

The placements of the college are very good. The studentrs are given oppertuties and are given chances for comapnies such as amazon, Wipro, JP morgan and such that have a great CTC and a large number of other companies including startups are also available. If the student is interested in entrepernership then the startup cell funds for the ideas of students. There is a seperate higher studies cell for students who want to pursue their higher studies and are given guidance to what steps are to be taken by educational fairs and such
