Entrance Preview

I appeared for EAMCET- Andhra Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination for taking admission in various engineering and medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.I was not well prepared for IIT-JEE. So I thought to write this entrance exam. This college was established in 1985 and having reputation not only in Rayalaseema region of Andhra but also in Andhra Pradesh including Coastal Andhra and Telangana (Now Telangana State) since its beginning. I attended the counselling and got a seat over here in mechanical engineering department.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I pursued my B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. The course duration was of 4 years. It was totally divided into semesters. Each year was having 2 semesters, thus total 8 semesters. This college runs total 6 branches in B. Tech and 8 branches in M.Tech. The college is also recognised as a research centre by JNTU, Anantapur.

Internships Opportunities

Most of the student of B. Tech final year go for an internship program either at college campus or at some PUC Companies like BEL, BHEL etc.The average internship package is around 15k per month.

Placement Experience

5

Most of the software industry giants like TCS, INFOSYS, TECH MAHINDRA, COGNIZENT, ACCENTURE, ORACLE etc. visit the college campus for recruitments. Beside these, many core companies of electrical, civil and mechanical also visit the campus. Few of them are L&T, Tata Motors, Jindal Steels etc. The average package goes around 6-7 lakh per annum.

College Events

4.5

Time to time college organises various events for the overall development of the students. Sports days are being organised at national level where 40 to 50 colleges from various states participate in the event. Beside this, the college also organises cultural fest, technical fest, Workshops, Seminars, Webinars, Conferences etc. All these events are of national interest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As there is a state government interference in fee structure, you will find it very feasible. But the management seats are a bit costly. For CSE-IT, the cost is around 7 lakh. Mechanical and ECE seats are of 5-6 lakh per seat.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many banks like SBI, ANDHRA BANK etc provides education loan in easy way. The documents required for the loan can be easily availed from the administrative office of the institution.

Campus Life

5

You will have an excellent experience of the campus life once you get inside here. Their is an ratio of 60:40 ( boys:girls) in terms of gender. You can access various facilities like multi-zym(1st of its types in Rayalaseema), wooden badminton's courts etc. Cricket, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, handball, table tennis etc. are also being played by the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The only drawback of this college is the lack of appropriate boy's hostel. Though the trust runs a boy's hostel but it is only for 1st year students. But you can easily access cheap and best PGs or flats in the college's locality.Otherside, the college pr

Alumni/Alumna

The college maintains a very good alumni network which is also a prime reason of its 100% placement. Most of its students are at good positions in various multinational companies who prefer the college for campus recruitment.

Exam Structure

This college is an autonomous college. So it has a right for its own syllabus and examination time. Usually, it conducts the odd semester examinations in November- December and even semester examinations in March-April.

Faculty

5

Here, I found very excellent faculty not only in mechanical but also in other departments. Around 90% of them are PhDs. They teach in an excellent way. Usually, we think that they might be using their mother tongue "telugu" in teaching. But our perception

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
