Course Curriculum Overview

4

•Most medical colleges have a good faculty, if you are expecting a type of education system in schools then you will feel disappointed. College education is a bit different, nobody will spoon feed you, you have to give equal time to academics and other extracurricular activities. •Most faculty members are doctors •There's a batch of 150 students, which are further divided into smaller batches for practical purposes. •There's timely tests, presentation, practical exams and per year Pre-University and University exams. If you keep on studying from start, exams would be easy but if you keep on waiting for the last moment, you will get anxious and stressed. The syllabus is vast and everything is interlinked.

Internships Opportunities

5

After completion of mbbs final year, you have to do mandatory 1 year internship at the college's attached hospital. Some private colleges and all govt colleges provide monthly stipend. You get to learn about respective fields in more depth.

Fees and Financial Aid

•There's a yearly increase in private medical colleges fees. •In 2023 its around 14Lakh per year in M.P. and in other states its comparatively more. •If you can get govt or some private scholarship, its good to apply for private colleges without getting financially burdened. •Today it doesn't matter if you have passed out from a private or govt institution, its your potential and hardwork that matters.

Campus Life

5

•Annual fest is conducted every year •Vast library with old as well as latest medical books. Since medical books are very costly, you can get them from library but if you buy books they are definitely a good investment. •Classrooms are air conditioned, there are green boards as well as projectors installed in every classroom. •Medical colleges encourage academic, cultural, sports activities.

Hostel Facilities

5

•Boys and Girls hostels are separate •Attendance is maintained every day •A single shared room is provided, with inbuilt bathroom facility •Weekly room cleaning facility is provided •Guards are provided in each shift for safety •Mess is available that provides breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. •Hostels follow a strict closing time of 9:00PM and also there a register maintained of all the entries and exit. •Warden is available for help 24*7 •In internship, you get a single occupancy room with inbuilt kitchen in some rooms.

Admission

•To get admission for mbbs degree, you need to have PCB or PCMB as your subject in 12th •Then you have to prepare for NEET-UG, get good marks & rank, apply for counselling, apply for good colleges •if you belong to SC/ST/OBC, you can apply for scholarship benefits, the administrative department during counselling provides the information. •Get more info about scholarship through mp scholarship portal or buddy4study website. •These days admission has become easy, its just you have to do a proper research before applying for colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
