Know pros and cons of Prakasam Engineering college.

I choose this course, due to my interest and employment oppurtunities for CSE course. Faculty and student is not that good for Prakasam Engneering college compared to all other colleges which is around 1:50. Teaching faculty will be recruited based on their previous experience and PHD qualification. Assistant faculty dont need any qualification or experience. Teaching will be done mostly on class boards and important PDFs or slides regarding the subject will be uploaded in the google classroom. Night study hours wil be conducted for hostler students to ensure their continous learning of the subject. Endsem exams will be conducted for every five and half months duration. Classtests and Mid exams are conducted in between them. Additionally lab praticals, internals ,externals and viva will be conducted.

Students with more than 7.5 CGPA is preferred first in campus placements. Campus placements will start from 4th year onwards. Some of the reputed companies that visits the college during placements are Cognizant,Big works,HCL, Veda IIT,Hexagon,Virtusa,Delta Technology and Deccan chemicals etc. Over 300 placements are offered last year with averge package around 2.5 LPA and highest package of 12 LPA. About 35% students got placed last year. I am thinking to secure my MS degree in foreign after the completion of B.TECH.

Fees for the management students will be around 150000 and AP EAPCET students will not have to pay their fees as AP govt will take care of their fee dues. No fee is hiked in the last 3 years of duration for management students and fee hike for AP EAPCET wil be decided by the AP govt. Officially college do not provide any scholorship or internships to the students. Students have to find internships on their own if they are interested. Personally i did not receive any announcement regarding internships and scholorships by the college management.But college will provide campus placements in the final year of course.

College management mainly conducts Freshers day and annual day fests every year. Freshers day fest is called VINTA and Annual day fest is called AMEYA. National level technical fest is conducted ever year outside the college named as CodeTantra and prizes will be given to the students based on their performances. College library contains every book related to the course.daily Newspapers monthly magazines and many jounals are provided to engage students during their free time in the college. But college library infrastructure is very poor. Classrooms are not modernised according to the new teaching techniques and contains mainly basic classboard,benches and a projector. Sports are not much encouraged by the college management. College ground mainly contains a big Cricket boundary along with Kabaddi and Volley ball courts. Due to the political background of the college over the years,many students are engaged in the political activities outside the college.

You have to take the whatever room alloted by the college management to you. You do not much options in the hostel rooms. All the hostel rooms are Five-sharing rooms.Every student is alloted wiith a bed,personal almarah and a personal rack to keep our personal things safe.Every room contains two fans and hot water is also provided. Mess menu is not that good. students mainly depends upon the college canteen.Mess is not hygenic even.food often smells bad due to the usage of rotten vegetables. Registration process for the hostels include fill the form offline and paying the hostel fee through DD form. Hostel fee is very affordable but,not value for money. Locally many PGs are available in the college locality.Mostly nearby PGs are available in Srinagar colony. Students still prefer college hostels due to the reachibilty and affordability.

Students are taken into this only based on their AP EAMCET rank. Cutoff for CSE course will be around 75000 to 85000 in the first phase. Applicaion form will be available in the AP EAPCET website. Application form will cost 1200 for general category students and 200 for SC/ST students. AP govt will release the GO according to the invitation of application for the AP EAPCET exam. Reservation category students will get the seat if they qualify the exam (ie. 40 marks EAPCET exam). General category students has to get rank around 80000. Admission process will be very late and official website will often exposed to technical glitches.

Group discussion and interview mainly contain questions regarding the current trends in the software,industrial sector and country's Economy. Interiew test will contain 50 MCQs questions and has a time limit of 50 minutes. Interview test mainly contains questions regarding the coding languages C,CPP, Data structure and Python and Java focusing mainly on the basics of the subject. Students have to pass the Group discussion round and Interview round with more than 75% marks. Students with CGPA more than 7.5 will only be alloted for the placements. Preparing every year Coding languages basics is enough to pass the test. Slides for the required topics will be made available for the students through Google clssroom.
