Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose civil engineering because of the vast opportunities in the sector. The facilities in my department were very friendly and they motivate us constantly. In my first year of college, I won a prize of 10,000 for a project in the district level. This is possible only through faculty support and their guidance. Recently the college changed to autonomous, so the portions are on par for students to get their jobs.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internships are not actually provided by our college. We are expected to search for our internship for every semester's leave. This is like training to live the real life. Anything that comes easy won't teach anything. So if we want to improve our working experience, we have to search for our own internships.

Placement Experience

5

We have great placement opportunities in the college. If you were an IT-related course student you have a great opportunity to get selected in Zoho, vipro, Avasoft, Etc. If you are a core student, you have opportunities in both core and IT. Even large companies like L&T will come for placements here. Last year 2 students got placed in L&T. The percentage of placing students was 100 percent. This may seem to be unreal but they are true.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was very low for civil courses. But it varies for each course. The fee may be from 70,000 to 1,25,000 for AI&DS. The fees were not as high as other private colleges. Scholarships are also available and 7.5 reservation is also considered.

Campus Life

5

Life on campus is so good. Even though the college is not as big as a government college, there is enough entertainment throughout the college. In the first year, we are afforded with Students Induction Program, where great people come to the college and motivate us. And we have Industrial visit for every sem. Other than these there are many clubs and forums to participate like Rotaract, literature club, NSS, etc. Classrooms were maintained neat and clean and equipped with projectors for better lectures.

Admission

The admission is based on either the government quota or the management quota. To get admission through the quota, u have to apply through counseling. Through counseling, you are given courses based on your cutoff on the 12th. In management quota, you should pay an extra amount to get into the college. Reservation is also available.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
