Overall it is good but need improvement in terms of teaching standards apart from good research

Admitted through University General Counselling, though not specific I had an inspiration to choose a career on Ocean Navigation after my Higher Secondary. That's why I chose the course which was nearby my home

Course curriculum was qualitative and required more practical field exposure which we were not fortunate. Overall the core course strength is exceptional with more activity. Electives are merely the one chosen by the committee, that too serves us better in management aspects.

No our university didn't provide internship, expect few courses. Those courses are been conducted with the external support of state and central government. They too get a stipend of around 2000 to 4000 Indian rupee

Not bad, since our department doesn't offer such chances when we are doing our degree. But career guidance and research prospect is good in the university. Most of the people passing out chose research as their career such a insight has been given to us.

We have many events, every month there will atleast 3 to 5 technical and cultural festivals. In bimonthly basis there would be grand events with around thousands of Participants. Sports events grab the audience atleast twice in one year. The departmental events will be more and frequent.

Affordable only not too much heavy. Different fee structure for Arts and Science, Engineering, Medicine etc. But overall the fees is collected as given in the prospectus. There is good support from the university for the economically sections. I had paid only around 500 rupees per years while some of my friends pay paid nearly 12000 rupees.

It is the wonderful place for the students coming from scheduled because the university provides many schemes for these students to get the maximum chance of education. University helps in a very manner for all students to support financially.

Gender ratio is almost equal. Students parties are there as well to improve the quality of living and learning inside the campus, but most of the time merely end up in one to one polity. Most students are (80% students) are from rural background and first graduates in their family. In such a ways the university serves many most backward and scheduled community in the regions nearby. Politics are there inside the campus but overall it never dominates the students.

Best thing in the university we had, good hostel facility and food. The hostel had twin sharing, triple sharing and also four with some reasonable space to accommodate everyone. The food are completely South Indian style and good except some occasions. We

Seniors are always good, we felt that we did much went through ragging in the campus. They helped us a lot in our courses and chosing a right project.

Exam structure is not quite stressful. We had flexible schedule of internal and semesters exams. Two internals and a final semester exams. We don't have more model exams as well. Lab experiments and practicals are also not very much frequent. All together

The one particular thing we fall is here, though the teachers are well qualified their teacher teaching standards are not that much appreciable, expect few dedicated teaching staff. The relevance of faculty specialization and the course handled had a sign
