Remarks

Every aspect of life needs to be nurtured and so was with me. I was a seed underneath the earth, knowledge, support and right path showed me the right way to move ahead and become a Plant. I will always be grateful to my Faculties and Alumni along with my Colleagues for teaching me good in every step of my life.

Entrance Preview

After completing Diploma, I moved to Chennai. Initially it was difficult to find a Good Ranked College, but as it is said, "Fate will be guided by your Deeds". I came across an advertisement of college and got into 2nd Year (Lateral Entry). As I was from CS background so I had decided to take up the same and move ahead in Life.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

CS has always been a key point for me as I am from a CS Family background. As Iron is attracted by a Magnet similarly I was into Computers and latest technologies. Being a Student of Diploma, practicals has always been a focus point for me. I have gained a good deal of knowledge in Paper Presentation across various College in Chennai and presented various papers in National and International Conferences.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college didn't provide any sort of Internship Programmer. Being a Charitable Trust, our college never took any step to provide and internship programmer. Though it would have being another step for us to move head but it was not so.

Placement Experience

3

On campus placemnet was not so good, due to Recession in 2013, just 2 comapnies came for placement, "Logic Information Systems" and "Hexaware". 7 members out of 120 students were placed on campus. The package that I received was "2.16".

College Events

3.5

In my 3 years of Course, Cultural Fest was held only once. It was though a lovely one. Every year, Symposiums were held in which came under Technical Fest. Students from various college used to visist and participate in various events like Quiz, Paper Presentation, Speech Delivering and many more such events. College Authorities were well versed with the handling up of events and they manged it efficiently. I never came across any situation were I can point out odds for College Authorities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I was into Adminstration List so the fee structure was different for me as compared to others. I used to pay 90,000 per annum for Educational Courses and 15,000 for Bus Services. Apart from fees, 100 rupees were charged for every theory and practical papers.

Fees and Financial Aid

No College never provided any Scholarships to students. Though college would help in getting loans from differents banks.

Campus Life

4

Different Departments used to ask Students to participate in Inter-College Paper Presentation which would bring the Best in every Student. Facing the Audiences, Being more fluent, Gaining knowledge are some key points that mattered to me while I participated in competitions.

Hostel Facilities

3

Being a only North India, I used to leave in 1BHK flat. I had many class mates who used to stay in Hostels. Its a Universal truth that, if Food is cooked in abundance, it will spoil the taste and quality of it. Similar was the condition in College hostel. 4 members used to stay in 1 room in hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni were very helpful in every aspect of Studies and Personal needs. Being a ranked student in Department, I always got notes from them and also they helped in solving various doubts in various subjects. As it is rightly said, "Every Experience Counts your Salary", so is the case with the Alumni, their help and support gave me a lot of confidence which in turn was a lesson to others.

Exam Structure

Exams and Labs were taken frequently, which was a good point. As students get more chance to practice programs, their basic knowledge grow, which in turn help them to understands topics in a better way.

Faculty

3

Faculties were on average as they had basic knowledge about the courses. The main point was that, the faculty who belonged to some other department also took classes for us, which was insane for me. Not judging faculties by their way of explaining topics but by the way they gave examples for the same. I think some of the faculties need to focus on the way students try to grab things from text book, they should focus on delivering the right example at right times.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year, they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course. The placement is around 95 percent. My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus. There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.
