Review about my college

The college rating is degrading day by day. I suggest students to not join this college as it has nothing to boost your career. Well the only thing you wilk get is a bunch of good friends. That's all at the end of the day!

You can join the course of B.Tech through JEE-MAINS only. The college has only two branch in Engineering i.e. Plastics Engineering (PE) and Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (MET)

In terms of studying, I shall give a rating of 4 out of 10. Neither the Institute focuses on the betterment of students nor it helps them in placement. The classes are also not held sometimes properly and you will a gain 0 practical knowledge as you can't find a lab specified for any work nor the lab assistants.

No the college doesn't provide any internship. You have to go for internships by your own.

The percentage of placement is degrading year by year. Also the package is very less (around 1.8 lacs on an average)

Yearly we have Vidyansh (annual function), Abhiyantrika (tech fest), Annual Sports Meet held in our campus. It includes only the people of our college only. The college contributes an amount and we've to arrange everything within that only. But the college never encourages us for these things and asks to focus on studies only

Since it's a Government college so admission fees is less yet it's more comparative to other Government colleges in the state. The Tuition Fees which was earlier around 22,000-25,000 has been raised to 30,000-34,000.

Not the college but Odisha Government gives scholarships to merit students annually in which our college is also included.

The college doesn't support much. But students get a lot of free time for extra curricular activities as classes are not held well.

The hostel fees was 18000/- p.a. But it's now increased to 24000/- p.a. First we were given rooms outside campus by taking a building in lease then we are shifted to in-campus hostel after 1-2yrs. The hostel condition is good. You can get single room also and also some rooms have attached attached bathrooms. Hostel is good but fees is much higher than other Government Engineering Colleges.

Still we've not been a single alumni interaction yet.

Well, litteraly labs never happen. We don't have specific labs for some subjects also. And the labs which occur are mostly demonstartive rather than letting us to do anything by our own. Yet they give lesser marksin practical exams even though you answer all questions in viva, still you may get an 'A' grade rather than a student giving no answer may get an 'E' or 'O'. Even the internal marks are not displayed most of the time and we find aftewarss that we've got lesser marks than we deserve.

No faculty is permanent in this college. Everyone is in contractual basis except the general staff. You may see a faculty today and he/she may not be present ij the college the next month. The course is never covered completely since faculties keep changing.
