My heaven

The college management is really good. Everything was well planned. No difficulty with the management. No more stress on students at any way. Very disciplined.

There is no entrance for joining in UCEA, ARNI.It is under ANNA UNIVERSITY, Chennai. The Admissions are done by counselling based on the marks which is scored in higher secondary exam. I scored 1105 out of 1200. I taken this college of two reasons. One is it is the branch of Anna University. Another is, it is nearer to me.

I have selected Electronics and Communication Engineering. The course structure was fine. The syllabus, Exams and all are controlled by ANNA UNIVERSITY, Chennai. The syllabus was in the hierarchy of basic to advanced. It provides basics of all subjects. Based upon the interest of students , electives can be chosen. For example i'm interested in Computer Networking and Communication systems. So i choose electives as Cognitive Radio, Web Technology.

My college does not provide any internship. Not yet developed to provide internship. But they conduct free sessions for personality development , Role of Engineers in society like that. For that TECH MAHINDRA people came to our college to share their experinces and provide training to us.

I cannot say cent percent placement. But they are really taking efforts for student goodness. Astrazeneca, Jasmine Info tech, Zoho, AMI and more companies came for campus drive. More than 100 students are placed in these drives. They concentrated mostly on reputed company for campus.

We have celebrating Intra college cultural and sports meet. The competitions are among various department. They will Overall trophy for cultural and sports. Other than that we have permissions to conduct Symposiums, Conference and Farewell parties. Most of the students were involved in any of the above events. I have participated in all the events above mentioned.

The fee structure is very feasible. It was about less than 10000 for a semester including exam fee. They are giving special fee exemption for SC/ST candidates and also for a First Graduate of a family. They are giving scholarships for all students. Not at all it was expensive.

In my college, Loan facility is available. In addition , there will be scholarship for both tuition fee and hostel fee which was availed by AICTE scheme. The loan can be Availed from all nationalized banks.

The gender ratio is almost 1:1. If we taken a particular department, the gender ratio may vary. There will be Farewell party i.e., sendoff party to the final year students, Cultural events, workshops, conference, sports meet are conducted in our college. Everything was conducted by students alone. Faculties may help to guide them.

I'm a dayscholar. But i know little about hostels. I have tasted the mess food. It was good. It was a student mess. The menu is given by students. The expenses for a month is calculated and divided equally among the students. So based on their menu, the expenses will vary. apart from academic fee, there is a scholarship for hostel fee. Maximum 4 Students per room in hostel. cots and all facilities are available.

We have alumni network. They will visit the college sometimes and gives job reference to the students who have stuff. Senior students helps the juniors in terms of knowledge and job opportunities.

I felt the exam pattern is not good. Sometimes it was more theoritical. It was descriptive type. So no longer have interest to write for 3 hours. They can test our Knowledge with Objective types or fill in the blanks like that. But it is not problem of my college. It was undertaken by ANNA UNIVERSITY, Labs are really good. All Labs have necessary facilities and it was very chill in Lab sessions.

I have submitted an application after getting higher secondary exam results. Based on my cutoff they fixed counselling date. Cutoff is calculated by adding half of the mark in Mathematics, quarter of the mark in Physics and Chemistry. Out of 200, I scored 184. On the date of counselling, I selected the college which has vacant. Finally I got call letter immediately. After that I have visited my college and admissions process is done.

Faculties in my college are well qualified and also capable to teach well in their major papers. There is faculty for all domains such as networks, Electronic Devices, Digital, Embedded, VLSI, Signal Processing and so on. The person with PG degree is eligible for faculty. In my department, 2 peoples finished their Ph.D, and rest of them are doing Ph.D, M.Phil and so on.
