Remarks

Students who have either PCM or PCB in 12th & those who secured good percentile in the entrance exam i.e, in MHT-CET are eligible to take admission. Admissions are done through the CAP round process. For that purpose, students need to fill out the application form on cetcell.org on which students will get corresponding fees & timelines for applications. The students belonging to the reserved category get the benefit of lower merit than the general category & scholarships (50% or full tuition fee waiver)

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opt for this course due to the increased demand for healthcare professionals of all categories. The total batch size of students per year is 100 & no. Of faculty members are about 40. All the faculty satisfies the min. Educational & Experience Criteria. The teaching is good as they teach by giving examples & sharing experiences related to the pharma industry. Term exams are held in Nov-Dec & April-May according to the timetable notified by the affiliated university. The exam is moderate, & one can easily pass these exams with proper preparation.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

No internship opportunities are available. Because not a single company comes to the campus for internship offerings. Students somehow try to get internships on their own mostly in Primary healthcare centres & rarely in pharma companies.

Placement Experience

0.5

Last semester students become eligible for campus placement but Not a single company comes to campus for the placement. Students have to search for jobs on their own by going to off-campus interviews. The average package offered is 144000 for the roles of QA/Qc, production, and packaging trainee. After the degree, I'm planning for PG.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee for the course is determined by Government. The fee per year for the course is 1 lakh if the student is admitted through the management quota. Otherwise, students who got admission through the CAP round process get scholarships from Govt. Of Maharashtra which gives a full or 50% tuition fee waiver. I was able to get an EBC scholarship & Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh hostel fee reimbursement scholarship. I didn't need financial assistance, for those who need there is a facility for financial assistance through IDBI BANK.

Campus Life

4.5

Annual & tech fests: sports week(Dec.), National Pharmacy week(Nov), Annual gathering(Jan). The library is full of reference books & journals required for the course. Classrooms are equipped with Spacious benches, projector, adequate lighting & ventilation. Sports & other activities such as soft skills workshops, and industrial visits are conducted for personality development, to increase the knowledge of students. The college has a student's association for the students which conducts various programmes & completions at the institute level, district level, state level, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel has well-lighted & ventilated rooms, with locker facilities to keep to things. Meal quality in a hostel is not so good but acceptable. Hostels can be booked by simply visiting the hostel rector's office & submitting the hostel form along with annual hostel fees.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very interested in this course. As I love being in medical field this course keeps me in touch with the same. I don't think that there is need to improve in the course and the teaching methods are the best here. The exams are kept after every 2 months which I think is fine.
