Entrance Preview

There wasn't any entrance examination. I had secured 88% in my higher secondary examination which was eligible to get a seat in global institute,Amritsar . Good reviews from people all around made me join this college.

Placement Experience

Since I'm in the second year, I'm not sure about the placement figures. My seniors told me that there are many companies dropping in and recruiting many students. companies like hdfc bank,icici bank,birla sun life ,tech mahindra,dellk are the best paying companies.

Campus Life

The campus life is a pleasant experience every working day. Being a Co-ed college, global institute College is mixture with both guys and girls in 60:40 ratio. Cultural events takes place very frequently rejoicing the students. Sports competition happen very occasionally like say, once in a year.

Hostel Facilities

I'm not a hosteler and doesn't have any idea about the hostel fees. But my friends who stay in the hostel had said that the rooms are modern, the hostel food is the best . The students are allowed to visit their hometown once in a month and also are permitted to take leave during festival times.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Faculty

Highly qualified faculties all around except for few staff, who aren't that good in teaching. Those few even lack in proper English communication. But not to blame all, there are few teachers who give their best to the students like me. Over-all standard is good when compared to other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum relevant. Provide with practical and theoretical knowledge. But needs some improvement with the teaching method. That is need of some projector in the classrooms. Besides this overall course curriculum and everything else regarding course is relevant and the study material for each subject available too.

But i saw a chart of the placement being offered to previous batch studens higest placement was 11 lakh per annum, and lowest was 4 lak per annum For ore placements u have to work hard and score a good CGPA to be eligible for placements. Final year student get eligible for placement, companies like wipro , kotak bank ,sbi , mahindra etc have offered placement for students of dav ,the highest placement this year was 7.5 lpa by to two students of bcom and average is 15000-25000 per month . According to em its 50% of students who get placement. My future plans are to go for mba which is not Available in dav or to give some interview and job based test

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly every course have different fee structure. As my course is BCOM so i think if you need to make some higher knowledge of commerce you should go for it because it can help you to make your overall basic knowledge good even if you don't related to commerce stream in 11th or 12th. the way of teaching in the collage is good but still some of the teachers don't have interest to teach their student in the better way. exam system in the collage is good and its difficuly level is moderate also its depend on the subject and point of view of the students
