DAV college is one of the best college we have in Amritsar.
Entrance Preview
Because i had no other option better than this college in Amritsar. The process of admission starts from counseling of students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course includes programming language C, c++, database subject, Operating system, Mathematics, Physics, animation, Graphics subjects. These were the main subjects and were very useful in order to learn more about conputer and its applications.There were also practical classes of each subject in the computer lab.
Internships Opportunities
No over college did not provide us any internship except campus placements of various IT companies like Wipro and Dell
Placement Experience
The college provided and offer the students a chance to sit in campus placements in order to get selected in various companies like dell, wipro, hcl etc. Very few students of our college were placed at that time. And the one's who were placed did not went to join their respective companies due to less salary offering to the students. And they had to shift to another city in order to join.
College Events
There were many kinds of event that were celebrated in the college every year like Sports day, Cultural day, Dhyan chand hockey day, Annual day etc. I used to participate in those days in the college. They were very big and i participated in many of them.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At that point of time the sturcture of that college was neither too expensive nor too cheap. It was ok. The monthly of that college was around 3000 Rs. The fee strucrure was good enough and also there were opportunities for the students who cannot afford their fees can get full fee concession by applying apolication letter.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't actually remember exactly about any scholarship offered ti the students. I think some of the students with exceptional performanceand marks in their previous schools availed that. There was no loan facility availble in my college at that time.
Campus Life
My college was a co education college. Male and female students used to study together in that college. The gender ratio was almost 50:50 The student of almost every religion used to study in the college.There were many extracurricular activities, soorts activities, competions that takes place in the college campus and sports ground as well.
Hostel Facilities
My college had the hostel and mess facilities available for the various students who came across from various nearby towns. The rental of hostel and mess was not too expensive. It was affordable by most of the students. They have also the libraries to read books in their leisure time.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students of the college were quite helpful.They were open enough to tell the junior students do's and dont's regarding their area of studies. They were humrous enough and charming personalities.
Exam Structure
The exam structure was good enough. There were usually two exams which happens in a year. There were sufficient labs in the college.The computer labs were fully acquipped with the computers and its perepheral devices which helped some students to learn more about their subject.
Admission
I got admission in this college after counsling with a staff of teachers which helps in career counseling. We get the prospectus of the college, check the different courses available and then apply for that. These were the basic steps of applying for a course in this college
Faculty
The teacher and the staff of this college was highly qualified and has the enough and suffucient proper knowledge about their respective field of subject. They were expertise enough to teach the students in order to explain each n every aspect of the subject.
