You have to give the NATA entrance examination for taking admission to the bachelor of architecture. On the basis of merit list,you have to select your college. Reservations benefits are also available here. So you can go through it

Course Curriculum Overview

The reason behind my decision to take admission to the bachelor of architecture is my family background and my interest related to architecture. In SKNCOA the teaching staff is well educated and qualified. they help us in every problem we face and solve the matter.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

As we know, any architectural student does not get any type of placement Through college. But our teachers help us to find the best internships around the state and out of the state also. We have a professional training program which is 6 months long.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fee for 1 year is about 120000-130000. You can pay the fees in two or three installments also. Maharashtra state scholarship is also available here you can get benefits of these scholarships like OBC,NT,VJNT,EBC,SC,ST and many more.

Campus Life

Sinhgad Karandak is the best annual fest in all over the city of pune. DJ night,fashion show,dance show,singing all type of enjoyment is there. Campus is very large and satisfied. Central Library is having almost 3000+ seating.

Hostel Facilities

Almost 15+ hostels on the campus. Boys hostels are having 4 people share rooms. Hostel is very clean and big. Registration process for hostel admission is very easy.

Perfect infrastructure but more experience faculty needed

The reason i choose architecture because it fascinates me how a place can be developed into holistic place interests me . The curriculum has some good inputs but it doesn't make you industry ready extra efforts should be taken to learn advance softwares extra classes newer research etc discussion on advance technology becomes important in modern age how architecture is changing is not discussed

Course Curriculum Overview:

The frequency of exam is twice a semester and good enough. Guest lectures are good and helpful for the future preparation.There must be a change in teaching styles of the faculty and more site based experiments through the course for better understanding than only in class studies , the beauty of historical buldings made me wonder about this course

Placement Experience:

For architecure departments, usually there are no placements, but since this Institute is autonomous, they have startes conducting placements drive. Last year 10/12 students were placed in good firms all over banglore, pune, kolhapur. I plan on applying to different firms all over Maharashtra and would also hope to get placement via college since the packages that are offered are good. Placement percentage is anywhere between 12-15%. The highest package offered was around 5,40,000, average package for a architecture student would be-around 3lakhs.

Placement Experience:

There is no campus placement for architecture students. After completion of the degree, one can apply for jobs or opt for masters. Architects get an average starting salary of 20-25 thousand. The course is pretty expensive including college fees and printing prices. One can also open a private firm and earn enough money. There are very few open students getting placed. My plans after getting a degree are to apply for masters. For a teaching job, one must complete masters.
