Remarks
There's no entrance exam for admission. The admission process includes counseling from one of the faculty of the same branch. You can visit directly to have the application form. Back in 2015, the college fee per year was INR 26000. The application dates are generally from May- to June. The admission process was quite smooth with a little counseling from one of the faculty of the branch. They never mention during the admission that they always had a little transportation services issue for science students since they usually had to stay late due to lab timings. It's better to have your convenience than to depend on the bus services available there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I wanted to keep my options open after taking science during school and I was interested in the subject. The faculty and student ratio was good since only filtered ( students who want to study and become something one day) used to come so it was usually 1:25. One of the great things about bioscience in Softvision is its faculties. You'll always get 1 or 2 highly motivating and knowledgeable faculty from whom you'll learn the most. Junior faculties were usually the ones with MSc. degrees and senior facilities were with PHDs. Exams used to be timely and it was pretty easy to pass. An average student can get 50-60% quite easily. The difficult thing was to get higher than 80-85%.
Fees and Financial Aid
The few at that time when I was studying was 26000/yr. Right now I guess it's more. There was no campus placement and no job assistance I got from there. Although there was a high scope of learning every one of my classmates found their jobs on their own.
Campus Life
The main events here are- 1) Annual function - conducted during December 2) 3-day management fest - Conducted during February 3) Sports days - During Nov- Dec The library here is good, it has various books for both science and commerce students along with a few novels. My favorite part was the bean bags there. Classrooms are great, aerated, and bright with a projector in every one of them. Although there are insta pages and Facebook pages of the college along with websites but no such special clubs, etc. there. They have 4 houses for various competitions but nobody cares. They do have movie days, picnics, trips, visits, induction for freshers, and parties once a year.
