Remarks
A NEET Score of 585 was required and I just made the cut as I got 590. For admissions counselling was done and because it was a Covid year, the counselling was done online. For SC, ST, and OBS cut-offs were lower than what we general students had. Counselling for admissions is done in respective cities and that was the best part. Like I am from Surat and my counselling happened there and from there, I got direct admissions here.
Course Curriculum Overview
The total number of faculty for MBBS is 200+. As for the same subjects, multiple teachers are assigned. The total strength is 250 but because the number of faculties is so high, the student to faculty ratio is much better. I am quite happy with their teaching as they have helped us in and out. MBBS studies are one of the toughest, but they have taken great care of us by making the classes interesting. There is one prelim, then a term exam and then finals and all are held as per the schedule.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are done in the college itself as the college has a hospital named Guru Govind Singh Hospital. Internships are awarded after the 5th year and we are paid 17500 as a stipend. It is reasonable but this is what MBBS students get in most Indian colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is such that anyone can afford them and still financial aid are provided if they are able to provide their financial status report. One easily gets sponsors as the yearly fees and the hostel fees are quite low, so have no complaints with regard to fees.
Campus Life
There are two libraries in the college and the benches are just like the theatre as our lecture hall is no less than a theatre. Honestly speaking we don't get time to play sports otherwise there are recreation rooms where we can play table tennis and carrom. The fest hasn't happened for the last two years but the annual fest Ecstacy is scheduled to happen in December this year.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms are empty as we have to bring our own furniture. The rooms are given on triple sharing to juniors and after the third year onwards, we can relocate to rooms with double sharing. There is around 40 mess inside the campus and we can subscribe monthly to any mess we want. All mess is student drive and the quality of the meal is amazing. The mess fees are also quite low as we are charged on a per-day basis and the total amount comes to around 3k a month.
