Know about King College Of Technology

Eligibility of the course- min 65%marks in 12th science. For applying you have to contact the college administration directly and they will tell the procedures. As I am in general quota so no reservation was there, but there was special fees consideration for the sc/st students. Well, the admission process was fine for me, need to improve some of their facilities.

Since I was in science group in my 12th, so I had taken engineering as my profession and in that, I liked to go in the mechanical field. The majority of the faculties were M.Tech or pursuing M.Tech, and their teaching method was normal, but they took classes in both English and Tamil so the students can understand better. It was basically semester exams and it was a total of 8 semesters in 4years, but in that, there were many internals, assessments, practicals also, which were a little difficult to pass.

Basically campus placements were done before, but in our batch, there were no placements occurred, and if the placements were held then it will be in the 8th semester. As I mentioned there was no campus selection in our batch, so I have no idea of the packages. My plan after getting my degree was to join a company, and get experience to improve my theoretical skills into practical ones, and correspondingly do any valuable course or pg programme.

Since I was in the management quota the fees structure was for every semester I had to pay 20000rs and hostel fees for yearly was 12000rs apart from mess fees monthly. And for the SC/ST students, there were scholarships in which the fees were reduced. If there was some delay in paying fees, we can talk to the administration and they will provide some time for paying.

Every year the annual fest takes place in the month of march April , and also there where department functions of different branches. Availability of books and journals in the library was fine, we can take the books for some days and return back, but if there were some delays, they take fines for that. If we go to the sports, kho kho and cricket were the main, and apart from that football, handball and kabaddi were also there. And small workshops were also held between. There were no such groups or websites for students.

Hostel facilities were not up to the mark like there were some broken windows, and washroom cleanliness not so good. The meal was average with respect to the fees, in the menu, it was like dosa, idli, upma, rice, parotta, etc. Registration is done with the admission part only, and in one room there will be four members. If you want to take a room for rent near campus, you will get in cheaper with minimum facilities and the price for food is also not high as it is not a city type, it was just rural.
