Remarks

When I and my mom went to TEC for admission they guided us to the admission room where Ms. Aarthi and other staff helped us. They clearly mentioned the available courses and fee structures and admission procedures. I was new to college life. And I don't know about the DOTE admission by Anna University. They told me that I have enough cut-off marks to get selected at TEC college. And helped us from counseling to admission in their college. Really appreciated!!

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I liked technology so I have chosen the CSE department so that I can get placed in an MNC and have a fulfilled life. We were about 44 in my class and 23 of them were girls and the remaining were boys. Every class in a department has 2 or more sections according to their strength. And every class has a Class teacher and Proctor mostly their qualification will be M.E. in their respective fields. Some of the staff have a Ph.D. qualification too. The teaching method will be a standard method using Blackboard and chalk sometimes they teach us by projecting and they also instruct us to take a seminar and kinda stuff likes that. There was a daily test which will be conducted at every morning for 1 hr then there will be a unit test which will be conducted for every month. Then there will be Model Exam which will be conducted twice during a semester then the semesters will be conducted. These approaches lead me to acquire good marks and a CGPA on my exams. PS. My faculty members are so supportive.

Placement Experience

4.5

Successfully I have completed my degree from TEC and I also got placement in my campus itself with a package of 3.53LPA. The top company CTC in placement drive was 5LPA and the average was 2.5LPA. And many of my friends got placed with the help of campus drive. And support given by the staffs even after we completed our college was very much appreciated till now our placement WhatsApp group is active and posts related to placements and vacancies are continuously updated by our staffs and the students. About 40% of students of my class get placed in placement drive and the remaining were get placed after a placement drive with thr help of a placement officer. Till now only 3 of my friends are not get placed in any of the companies. I hope they will also get placed soon.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a first graduate student so that they have reduced 20k from my overall fees and the fee structure will be 25k for bus, 10k for books, 25k for Teaching (clg fee). And all anna university affiliated colleges have ST/SC scholarship program so that the students belonged to the SC/ST community can avail a free education at TEC. In my class around 10 people from SC/ST got enrolled in the year 2017 and they have secured a good marks and now they are really good. But my bus fee make me down always. I have to catch my bus at 6:30AM from my home and it will reach my college aroung 8:00AM.

Campus Life

3

On March 6, 2020 we CSE department organised a symposium called 'Techprayukti' and I was a event organiser (food committe) for that event. Likewise other departments are also have their own sympo and many external participants were partcipated and certificates were given to the all. Daily news papers and Books ry subject in a department can be found in our Library. One can upskill there efficiently by uisng the library because that much of knowledge it has. Clasroom have a good lighting and air facility. CCTV cameras were installed on everywhere and PA sound system are also connected. Only drawback of TEC college is it has a very small ground and auditorium. If you are a sports person or a Performer then TEC will not meet your expectations. Sometimes We have used TEC medical college ground for our practice sessions.Other than that all the sport equipments will be available and the P.E.T staff will identify our skills and make them to play for journal matches conducted by Anna Univ.

Around 25 companies visit our college, and around 96% of the students got placed in those companies. They're very helpful and supportive. Our placement teams conduct special training sessions many group discussion sessions, and aptitude tests. They teach how to answer many technical and non-technical questions. They really help us improve our knowledge. Top recruiting companies like Texas, Infosy, etc., visit our campus. The salary package offered is 12.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA and the average salary package offered is 6.5 LPA.

Placement Experience:

The placements at the college are Good. Also, it all depends on your talent. After the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. TCS and Appton are some of the companies that visited and gave 2 offers. The average package is Rs.22000. The percentage of students getting placements is 18%. After getting the degree I must go for an interview for selection with some It companies offered. But it is best to get the placements in college itself.

From 6th semester students can join placement training and participate in placement drives. Placement training is conducted well. Many companies come for placement drive. 99% of them are IT companies. Even other stream students get a chance only to join IT companies through placement. The core engineering companies which come to the drive requires 4 years bond which most students dislike. The placement is almost 35%. I'm trying to get into a PSU after completing the degree.
