Amazing Faculty and Placement Cell

I personally have no such bad remarks for the college. I have learned a lot from this institution. I am thankful and indebted for my life. PS: We need a decent cafeteria for boys though! Else, ALL GOOD!

I took IITJEE, I scored 85 and hence applied for this college. This college is a very old and reputed institution of Amritsar. It has a very high placement record. All the faculty members are experienced and best in their particular fields.

This college follows the GNDU BCA format, because of its affiliation. The Structure is very clean in terms of research based work. The curriculum covers all the major languages, as well as basics required for computer science. It also includes a degree project worth 200 marks in the final semester.

No, their is no compulsory internship criteria. It is a willful act and can be done off campus. It is definitely appreciated by the faculty and given a great value. The general stipend that the college students receive, ranges from 10-15k per month.

The college has a lot of companies coming in for placements every year. Some are as below:TCS : 2-2.5L, AON: 2.6L, Concentrix: 2.5L, IBM: 2.5L, ICICI Prudential: 2L, HDFC: 2L. Lava Technologies: 3.5L, Decathlon, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Pixatel, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Amazon: 3L, Rebsec Solution, Times Group.

College organizes various events every year. They range from Inter-class, Inter-College, State and as well as National. The college also participates in national youth festival under GNDU. Apart from events, College organizes various international workshops, lectures and seminars. College also celebrates 2-Day sports day every year.

The fee structure is very flexible, it ranges from 15-20k based on various optional selections. College also provides the facility of part payment. It provides concessions to the students which are not very well off. The college makes full use of the funds, in order to provide various facilities to the students. All the computer science rooms are equipped with modern PC's, projectors and air conditioners.

College provides many scholarships to the needy. They have been set up by the funds received from the old alumnus. The college provides free education to students coming in from other DAV's in the north east and they also provide concessions in the fee.

Campus life has been fun overall, with people coming in from different spheres of live. One gets to learn a lot of things, from cultural exchange. The college is a co-educational institution. and has approximately 60:40 ratio of boys to girls. The college has well equipped laboratories for each and every department. All the labs are interconnected with high speed LAN connections. Their are different events organised independently by various departments.

College has a boys hostel in campus. It is a sharing based hostel which provides decent food. The hostel is not very expensive to live in, and college charges approximately 10-15k annually. The college has a lot of students coming in from different parts of India. And, It is a cultural celebration, to live in together. Apart from hostels, there are many Paying guest rooms available nearby, they range from 5-7K monthly.

The college keeps track of the Alumni. They actively participate in group activities and also guide all the current batches. Many Alumni have come forward to start various scholarships for the students.

The daily schedule is moderate, and not very hectic. The college follows GNDU pattern of examination. The structure includes 2-3 average labs each semester. They account of 1-2 Lab periods daily for 4 days a week. College is open 6 days a week. Average college time for all the six semesters would range from 10AM to 3PM (May vary based on optional subjects).

They probably have the best attendance record, with no unnecessary holidays and punctuality. All the faculty members are dedicated and work together as a team. They are always ready to go out of the way, to help and guide their students. Apart from the curriculum based work, they are always keen to discuss any other major thing from the field of computer science. The project guides are also very helpful, And have been seen sitting with students even after college hours. The faculty also provides extra classes, out of their paid hours.
