Entrance Preview

12th cutoff marks of physics, chemistry and mathematics were taken into account for admission process. My college was affiliated to Anna University. Hence the admission process was handled by Anna University. Based on cut off marks, Counselling was scheduled for the students. Based on my cut off marks which was 165. I got this college. Since its a group DMI , I opted for this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was good which was fixed by Anna university. All subjects were standard other than the once in last year. I chose electronics and communication engineering. Other courses were electrical and electronics engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering and computer science engineering.

Placement Experience

Sutherland, Jasmine infotech, Maveric Systems and Mind Map are the few companies I remember. Approx package was around 2 Lac to 3 Lac i guess.

College Events

Sports day and Christmas day celebration. Apart from that Freshers day was celebrated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For Day scholar through counselling it was approx 60 K per year including bus fare.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities were not provided but scholarship was offered for backward community students and toppers.

Campus Life

Symposiums, technical fests were conducted department wise yearly once. They were good in enhancing our technical knowledge.

Exam Structure

It happened once in a month named unit tests. Others were semester exam conducted by Anna university once in 6 months.

Faculty

All the staffs and faculty when I studied were really good with sufficient knowledge to clarify our doubts and guide us towards victory. We had a good number of standard faculty to share knowledge. the practical session given were also good enough.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.

Many staffs work on the placement. Hence the placement is average . They provide interships and consider it as placement. Hence take a person with intern offer from the database. But only few finally get the employement offer and offers left unemployed.

Self studying college with no enjoyment

Compared to some top private colleges, the infrastructure here is not very modern. Labs and classrooms are average, whereas other colleges I applied to had more advanced facilities. This college offers decent placement opportunities, especially for IT companies, but Tier-1 colleges have a stronger track record with core companies and higher salary packages. This was one of the biggest deciding factors.
