Entrance Preview

I gave AIEEE, MHCET and IIT-JEE as well when I was in 12th standard. Initially, I had plans to go for Engineering as I was good in studies and my couldn't think of myself doing a simple degree course of B.Sc. I was not getting government engineering colleges though but, was getting many of the good engineering colleges of India and Maharashtra.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was as required. The first year was quite tough for all students in Maths stream. I had PCME group which was a combo of tough subjects, atleast for me. Initially, I couldn't get anything taught in calculus class as I was one month late to join but gradually by I started grasping the things and then in all three years I scored more than 75% and 82% in my major subject- Physics.

Internships Opportunities

No, our college didn't give any internship opportunity to students during B.Sc course while for others(PG/BA) it was available. Most of the students were topper so were doing their own research and were also getting Rs 80000 yearly scholarship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements and job opportunities are good for all PG departments, Biotech, Electronics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics department. Also, Wipro use to visit to get candidates for their WASE and WISTA course which attracted may students. Many of them were recommended for research and admission in foreign countries to now are well settled and busy researching/pursuing further studies there.

College Events

5

The college celebrated each year- Traditional day, Tie- Saree day and many more exhibitions also. It also celebrated College fest week each year in the month of December-January. All departments conducted their our programs where all students were free to experience and enjoy all of them. I had gone for a Physics department and Food Quiz and in both of them I stood second when I was in 3rd year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Class toppers were given scholarships, subject toppers were also given scholarships. Scholarship was also given based on percentage of marks scored. Loan was surely not needed.

Campus Life

1.5

Campus life was cool. Gender ratio was almost equal as per me. Many departmental clubs were made like Astro Club, Alchmeist, etc. Politics was not seen when I was there. Students from Arts stream were all from rich and affluent families and it was not so in science stream. In Science stream also, students were less groomed as they prefer studies over looks, and even I am one amongst them.

Exam Structure

The exams were held each semester. Internals were of 20 marks which was given 50% weightage to final result. Externals were of 40 marks with 50% weightage. The marking schemes were also good for internals and viva. Also, each subject has a different practical subject of full 100 marks. Viva was covered in Practicals only.

Admission

One of my friend took admission into the college while my counselling for engineering were going on. I also applied for the admission then thinking of preparing for IIT-JEE side by side. But, I was too late to apply. The course started in June while went for admission in July last week. The principal initially said no but after going through my academic record he gave me the admission on the spot in branch of my choice.

Faculty

4

The college faculty is very knowledgeable, most of them were doing some or the other sort of research and many of them had been to various international research laboratories. A few professors also had double PhD at a very young age of 30-35. They all were inspiration for me and other students as well.

placements can happen in any semester starting from 2nd semester, it completely depends on the companies which come to the campus for cadets. 95% of the cadets get placed at the end of their course. teh packages vary from 300000 to 1200000 per year. note that this is the stipend you get while training, once this training is finished and you have al the certifications and are medically fit for sailing you get ti earn 10 times more only after 2 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Biotechnology because it is a multidisciplinary field. We get to study not only topics related to biotechnology but also biochemistry, bio physics, bio informatics, bio statistics, etc. Mostly everything that is essential for future exams is taught during the span of 3 years. The topics of the units are taught in depth but the questions asked during exams are comparatively easy as to what all we studied. The frequency of the exam is, 1 internal exam which consists of both mcqs and written exam, the semester exam for each semester and practical exams for each subject. If u have studied then you will be able to attempt the questions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

While searching on internet I got to know about this course that's where I earned interest for this course that made choose this course. The practical knowledge shared by the faculty at their best helps for real life applications but still practical knowledge is gained beyond college course pattern which can be gain in internships. By providing more practical knowledge beyond the theory part of the course may help students greatly by learning real life experiences. Exams are usually held by morning at the college timing (9:30 am).

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. There are campus placements but my seniors are yet to get placed. Since we are secknd batch of data science we don't know much about how is the placement for data science students. There are good placements for bms students. I will be doing master after this degree and won't opt for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because of the teachers who teach that. I had my siblings telling me that they love the way their teachers taught them. They make it so easy to understand and give you so much advice to grow and have great success. Also, this college is just a treasure of other curriculum activities. Once you got to know that they held those kinda functions over these years you can't resist and will participate in those functions. As it the course was difficult but teachers will make it easy they will guide you in any problem that you have and encourage you to learn more skills so you can be more successful.
