KRITI SRIVASTAVA's Review On BBS College Of Engineering And Technology - [BBSCET], Allahabad

I took UPTU exam with a state rank of around 40000. I chose this college as it was in my home town. Moreover, BBS group was into education industry since long and had a very good reputation.

The college strictly follows the curriculum of UPTU. The college has numerous books of various authors in the library for students. Moreover, the time schedule of subjects are also planned in such a way so as to meet the requirement of UPTU curriculum. The subjects are useful in future career growth & cracking any national level of exam.

When I was a student, there was no internship provided by the college. The reason for this is that it is not a mandatory requirement in UPTU. Industrial; training after 3rd & 5th semester is mandatory in Mechanical Engineering. For this the college issues a ref feral letter so that students can do the training at various Industries.

The college management is keen for placing its students. It has a cell naming Training & Placement Cell with a Training & Placement Officer whose work is to invite companies for placements. A no of companies visited in our campus like WIPRO, HCL, RAMBOLL, Ucertify, etc. Also, college has registered all its students in paid portal for placement via which students can join pool campus placements at other colleges.

There are a number of events conducted in the college. The first event is Freshers Welcome Party. Then Teacher's Day, Annual sports week, Annual Tech Fest, Farewell Party, Alumni Meet etc are to name a few. The best event out of these is the Tech Fest. As we are engineering students so it is an event in which we can explore our engineering skills to do some innovation or to give an edge to our existing skills.

Scholarship was not sponsored by college but the students who qualify for state scholarship (poor students) were given full support in all the formalities to avail it. Huge number of students availed it to pay there fees. The college sponsored half the cost of the Final year project for the groups whose ideas were innovative. My project was also funded by college. (Rs. 10000 approx)

There are 2 Hostels in the Allahabad campus. One is for Boys & the other for Girls. The rooms are neither too large nor too small. The rooms are on twin sharing basis. Bedding, Cupboard, Table, Chair & Desktop Facility is provided in each room for each student. The rooms are cleaned on daily basis. Toilets are on sharing basis not attached in rooms. The mess food quality was also good.

There are semester exams at the end of each semester conducted by UPTU. These are internal exams conducted in each semester which are called Sessionals. There are 3 sessionals in each semester for each subject & lab practicals. The level of exam is quite good which tends to prepare students for external exams.

Once received the allotment letter from UPTU, I went to college with the fees. I filled up the Registration form & submitted the fees. On immediate basis i received the uniform material from the college. As my admission was through UPTU there was no internal interview held.

The college teaching staff is competent enough to guide for the said course with orientation to clear exams with good percentage & good concept for future. All the staff is under strict management for proper & timely classes. There are special lectures conducted from guest renowned professors from the city. All teachers are always ready to be a helping hand to all students who require special attention.
