Remarks
The admission process is pretty simple here, you can directly visit the admission cell and enquire about the respected course you are looking for. I was looking for a course that comes under Life Science Department and as expected, was confused about which course to opt for! The confusion persists between Biotechnology and Microbiology. So the admission cell faculty was there to guide me throughout and very surely and happily I took Microbiology for my graduation and the best part is, I am not regretting it. The documentation process is smooth enough. You just have to submit the basic documents, and also if you get stuck at any point the admission team assists you for the same. The eligibility criteria go like this, 60% or above score in 12th Standard 60% or above score in 10th Standard No competitive exam scores were considered also you don't have to appear for any internal competitive exams.
Course Curriculum Overview
Life Science Department was newly established department when I joined. I was in the second batch itself, but the things that were said and promised to me at the time of admission were fulfilled. The faculty was amazing. There were 25 faculty members and each one was friendly enough. Every faculty was a Phd. And the Head of the Department particularly was the most friendly out them. Their are some faculty members young enough to be our friendly guide than a strict teacher. The course was research based so the practical part was pretty impressive as each faculty member was a pro level researcher even some of them have published there Research papers with well cited organisation. The term exams were commenced every 6 months and the exams were commenced timely. The level of exam belongs to the quality of teaching and that was pretty high.
Internships Opportunities
As I mentioned earlier the faculty itself publishes the Research papers so the students are obliged to take part in the researches. Also, internships in MPCST Bhopal were the most interesting part. The stipend varies from 2k-5k.
Placement Experience
From the initial days of the final year itself, the campus placement drive starts. The TPO department takes various training sessions that help you in interviews. Around 70% of students got placement. The Life Science Department amd the pharmacy Department were in close proximity so the Life Science Department students were allowed to give interviews to Pharmacy companies like Cipla, Lupin, IPCA. Other than that various other companies also came up for job openings in the production department, QC/QA department. The avg salary package starts from 2 lacs- 3 lacs which ranges to 8-10 lacs
Fees and Financial Aid
The course was 35000/ yr Various internships were provided with reknowned institutions of Bhopal, Indore, and also the flexibility to choose the internship is provided with proper assistance. The placement team connects with you till the very end. And the companies in Campus placement drive were pretty good. I was placed in Pulsus Healthtech LLP Gurgaon during my campus drive. And the salary package lies between 2lacs- 2.5 lacs per annum.
Campus Life
The major event in this University is Spandan. This is the annual fest, and the duration was 7 days. This is a day-night event with various activities. Other than that the Sports club was an eye- catching area. The cricket team was a major attraction so if you are a cricket loving person do join the team.
