Remarks
Probably you'll have to take an exam to attend here. A rank of 3000 in APEAMCET will get you a seat here. Overall college is good. Good environment, atmosphere, faculty, library everything's well and good. Don't expect much from the canteen, you can find good hotels nearby so it won't be an issue. Hostel life is so good you'll enjoy it every day. It has courts for every game and a gym included at a reasonable cost. Campus placement is good companies like Microsoft, Wipro, IBM, Reliance, Sony, Mitsubishi, etc come along every time. Internships are recommended by the college itself bases on your credits. Most of the faculty is available most of the time so you can contact them any time. You'll have a remarkable time here.
Course Curriculum Overview
Specifically speaking of petroleum engineering group it's a complicated field yet interesting. And being a petroleum engineering in India means you have restricted your choices. The companies related to core won't come for placements. They have their own ways of recruitment. As there are only 60 students for each branch you'll have good interaction with faculty. The faculty is very friendly and cooperative, they help you with internship finding and other field related doubts. Talking about term examination we have 2 internal examinations and 1 external exam each semester. With 3 labs surely. Passing an exam depends on your skills. If you have skills you shine, if not forget about passing.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are great you can work under RIL, GAIL, IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, etc. Need not worry. College itself provide and recommends you for internships based on your credits. You'll have tours where you get to gain knowledge. There are summits were all petroleum Engineers come to share knowledge.
Placement Experience
For a petroleum engineer, there are no placements all over India. There are 3 options 1. You qualify GATE and complete you're MTeach. 2. You apply for PSU independently based on your GATE rank. 3. Go abroad.
Fees and Financial Aid
As this is a government college the fees are very minimal only 10000 a year. If you've any sort of reservation then you'll have a scholarship for both hostel and college fees. You won't find a cheaper college than this.
Campus Life
There are various mini clubs you can join. Each year an annual competition is held regarding those clubs. The library is awesomely big, sadly you won't find any related to petroleum engineering. The classrooms are huge and spacious. Each group has a separate block with their labs. You'll enjoy College Life here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is also very reasonable they only charge you 1500 per month which is very cheap. You have separate hostels for each year students. So there won't be any problem of not being spacious. You can come along anytime there are no fixed timings for the hostel. For girls, there is a time limit, up to 6 in the evening, and out on Thursday up to 9 pm.
