Remarks
I applied for MVN but was not able to join because of fees. AIP provided Post Matric Scholarship because of which I had to pay 20,000 rupees per year instead of 90,000 rupees. This Scholarship is available for SC students with low annual income. Minimum marks in 12th standard were 50% and age of 17 until 31 December of the year of enrollment. Admission was swift and very fast. For counselling, we had to sit in the counselling auditorium and they would call our name and take our signatures.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because it had a lot of opportunities, and almost guarantees a secure future. In our semester, there were about 85 students in total and our class had 48 students. 1 teacher for each subject. Our Microbiology teacher got changed up to 3 times in a single semester and when the first teacher left college, no one taught us microbiology for 2 months. After countless complaints, we got a microbiology teacher. The faculty is understanding and quite supportive excluding a few teachers. Some teachers listen to our problems and take proper actions required and then there are those teachers that don't give attendance to those that they don't like. PT teacher (who doesn't teach anything) from Mechanical Department once BEAT a student for putting a basketball by bouncing it after games period. The police were about to be called but the chairman handled it. PT teacher also used bad language. Term exams were always on time, we even had tested before term exams for internal assessment.
Internships Opportunities
I do not have any information regarding the internship but any senior that I've met has not mentioned anything regarding an internship of any kind. Though it is possible to work for free and give a letter from the employer to the college to avoid getting fined for low attendance.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible after getting degree. No companies visited and no offers were made. No package since no company visited. After getting a degree, I will open a medical store, earn enough to sustain for 3-4 years, study M. Pharmacy from a much better college than this one and if possible will go for a PhD.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a scholarship (caste based), instead, there should be scholarship based on tests of academic skills. Fees for General Students in 90,000 Rupees per year and fees for SC students is 20,000 rupees per year. Post Matric Scholarship can be applied in college for SC students with low annual income. The work at Fees Counter is very slow. The accountant uses a phone while students are standing in front of the counter, the window is very low.
Campus Life
Life on a college campus is boring. Since the college is in a remote area, it is hard for lower caste students since the locals have a very typical mentality about caste and religion. There is Annual Sports Day and a day after, there is Annual Talent Show. Books are always available in Library. The library is the only place that operates in a professional manner. No organised group activities of any kind take place in the college. Sports time is used as free time in college. No extracurricular activities take place in college. Students just sit in the playground where stray dogs can be seen. There is no such thing as a group effort in this college though some students do get together in the name of their caste saying Jaat raaj or Gurjar Raj or whatever.
Interview Experience
Group Discussion/ Counselling took place in the college. There were no tests, I didn't even go to the college for admission. 50% minimum marks in 12th grade and a minimum age of 17 years till 31 December of the year of the enrollment is necessary. There were no tests or interview questions.
