After giving jee mains i have entered to silicon institute of technology as a student of electrical engineering Department. I had got a rank of 10390 all over india . As from the name of silicon bhubaneswar , i was completely sure that it was the sister concern of Bhubaneswar branch and this made me more enthusiastic to be a part of silicon. The Bhubaneswar branch is not having core sections and sambalpur branch had it all .

The course curriculum is as that given from the BPUT University . Regular practical based study were conducted. All the labs were demonstrated properly and then with proper safety measures the students were allowed to perform. Especially the electrical labs were the best . We were made complete thorough about all the industrial equipments which are completely same that are used in power plants .

No, Silicon donot provide any internship .It follows a trend of industrial visit to nearby industries like Bhusan, Orissa hydro power plant corporation Solar power plant at sonepur.

Placements varies every time. The current year is having crisis in placement . Companies like infosys, wipro, capegemni, mindtree, ux reactor have hired students from the campus. Infosys 9 students with a package of 3.8 lakhs per annum, Wipro 4 students with a package of 3.5 lakhs per annum. Capegemini 6 students with a package of 3.4 lakhs per annum.

College provides scholarship to meritious students throughout the year . An amount of rs 2000 is given a s a prize money along with certificate . Eligible Students also receive the scholarship of medhabruti from government of odisha through the college.

The gender ratio can be given as 10:6 as in boys to girls .The Institute never allows for parties from its side. All the students need to take proper permission for it. Political influence is completely zero from college side,

The faculties of the institution are our second parents . They try their level best for each and every students improvement. All the faculties are a part of IIT or NIT in their life time . Majority of the faculties had completed their Phd and some pursue their now. Apart from course studies they also provide much general knowledge and practical knowledge both from the course study and outside the course study.
